i have to admit i use ur guides from ur blogsite on pretty much all adventures i do did lose 3 generals recently testing out traitors the 1 recruit blocks didnt work for me .. but think was more lag and cause the fight is over quickly

Thanks for translating them, I've used yours now and then and this will ease up on the headache from guessing german words

Yea unfortunately Blocks can fail if Servers are really slow and Generals leave the Garrisons with a delay, best thing you can do is to watch the Generals closely to make sure they dont come out delayed.

Good to see another guide maker on the forums active :) However I would like to say after checking up a few setups for camps that were better than my own, I do notice that your quality is not quite up to our standards - for example, in Old Friends you list camp 1 as "58R / 192s" while this can lead up to loss of 3s. This seems to be typical among german mapmakers somehow - most of the maps I see list very optimistic setups and losses, that usually when run through the simulators more than 1000 times result in loss of cavalry, soldiers, or even xbowmen.
What simulator do you guys use, and how many repeats do you do as minimum ?

Cool but films are 30min+, they are too long. Cut them or mark where is what done.

I usually simulate everything 10000x or more, but you're right that setup for this camp is not optimal and I wasn't aware of that. I will change that soon.
Edit: I fixed it quickly, should be fine now. In any way I recommend blocking the first Camp, that way you only lose 1R :)

I could make the videos without showing battle reports, that would cut down the length quite a bit. I keep that in mind for later.

Updated the Maps "Island of the Pirates" and "The Black Knights"

the outlaws map is misleading the attacks 1-4 show 250 units attacking yet the location of the camp the general leaves from i assume is for normal general as its used in blocks for camp 5 and 10
i did outlaws 3 times last day or so all blocks work great except on the last adventure the 1 recruit block failed but all the important ones worked a treat.. must admit heart was in mouth everytime cause of the cost if they failed but very pleased they work

My second block got killed off in Pirates, so I moved the attacking general two spaces to the left and it hasn't failed me since:)

The castle block timing (in traitors) is off I would say as the blocking fight ends too early and the main attack comes out of the castle for intercept, sid's position worked for me for the first wave and that is a couple of squares towards south-west compared to yours; unfortunately 2nd wave has timing off due to a nice change in the game that lets decorative objects in conquered sectors. Comments or alternative position anyone?

I looked at some more positions for blocks and a couple of videos and I think the timing is consistently off - the block leaves too early. For traitors, at the castle, 2nd wave, worked by moving both camps 1 square SW to accommodate the decorative object.

Camp 2, stealing from the rich, lost 15 soldiers! That can't be a right setting.

The blocks on Outlaws dont work any longer. They have, for somereson I dont understand, change the patch.

They just messed up some people great work instead of improve some new adventures and fixed some adventures death : loot ratio normally :(

Its no fun anylonger. I lose 170 longbows, 310 cavs and some R and S only becures for a chang who have no points!

Agree on last post. Your maps are great. Camp setups and blocks are awesome. Not necessary allways use same troops, but using your maps, most of the adves.

hey guys, i have een wanting to use the bob guides on adventures rather than rely on other people coming out with new guides. I have done Witch of the swamp, Dark priests, Old Friends and Island of the pirates.
Bobs guides on island of the pirates, blocks and all, work fine. Witch also works fine; although i dont use the block cos i skip the bandit leaders, and use a 2 waves on the witch tower. Old friends, with the block, work fine also. Dark Priests (short version) works fine, note on the way to the bone church, the pathing system has changed: the general will get intercepted by the forest just before the entrance to the bone church area... it consists of 50 wolves, so i lost 2R extra on the short version of Dark Priests, blocks for me are untested because i only do the short version.
hope this is of use, ill probably post any other adventures i do following his guides to see if they are still valid.

I've just done Horseback and wanted to let you know what doesn't work because of the pathing system.
I had to reposition for attack 3 as the swords show him walking way to near the camp on the right = further back and down to left so no major problem.
You can not get to 6 without being 'distracted' dragged into the camp on the right! (I tried Mimoris block from her new map and it didn't work but I think i was too eager so will retry in 4 hours;( )
The block/attack 8/9 doesn't work anymore either grrrrr the fights over too quickly -(I will try Mimoris asap)

You need to block the camp under leader 7 now. I saw general positions for that in another thread, will try it later.
