Hi.
Is it worth investing in a Gem Pit? Before I buy one, it would be helpful to know how long it will take to get my money back on 20,000 gems!
Cheers.
It takes slightly more than half a year to get the 20k gems back. It then takes another half a year to get the 20k profit.
Okay, thanks. At the speed I play then it is worth it.
whats a gem pit?
its not in my buildings menu, do you have to reach a certain level to unlock it?
look at gem store.....it cost you 20000 gems to buy it
ok..so we will get 20k+20k of gems? in one year.. so if I now would buy 24k of gems, that is 100 Eur, and build gem pit -20k , I will have 20k+20k+4k = 44k of gems..
for 100 Eur..that sound good..so that I would have 2 gem pits in next year..or every half year new one
Or even more than so... you could e.g. aim for 6 gem pits...
For the sake of simplicity, let's assume a year is 360 days...
Day 0Day 180
- Build gem pit 1: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 40,000 gems
Day 270
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... build gem pit 2: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 20,000 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 40,000 gems
Day 330
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... build gem pit 3: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 10,000 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 30,000 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 40,000 gems
Day 360
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... build gem pit 4: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 3,333 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 23,333 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 33,333 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 40,000 gems
Day 370
- Excavated +13,333 gems ... gem pit 1 exhausted
- Gem pit 2 contains 10,000 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 30,000 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 36,666 gems
Day 415
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... build gem pit 5: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 7,777 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 27,777 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 34,444 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 40,000 gems
Day 440
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... build gem pit 6: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 2,777 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 22,777 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 29,444 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 35,000 gems
- Gem pit 6 contains 40,000 gems
Day 454
- Excavated +13,888 gems ... gem pit 2 exhausted
- Gem pit 3 contains 20,000 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 26,666 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 32,222 gems
- Gem pit 6 contains 37,222 gems
Day 490
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... rebuild gem pit 1: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 18,472 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 25,138 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 30,694 gems
- Gem pit 6 contains 35,694 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 40,000 gems
Day 620
- Excavated +20,000 gems ... rebuild gem pit 2: -20,000 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 14,472 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 21,138 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 26,694 gems
- Gem pit 6 contains 31,694 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 36,000 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 40,000 gems
- Excavated +86,832 gems ... gem pit 3 exhausted... rebuild gem pit 3: -20,000 gems ... net balance +66,832 gems
- Gem pit 4 contains 6,666 gems
- Gem pit 5 contains 12,222 gems
- Gem pit 6 contains 17,222 gems
- Gem pit 1 contains 21,528 gems
- Gem pit 2 contains 25,528 gems
- Gem pit 3 contains 40,000 gems
After 620 days (less than 21 months) your intitial investment of -20,000 gems would have given you +66,832 gems.
A net gain of +46,832 gems!
From here on you would basically excavate 20,000 gems every month and build a new gem pit for -20,000 gems every 2 months.
A net gain of +10,000 gems per month. :)
Oh dear... there goes my plan... lol... :D
In other words, after 454 days (a little more than 15 months) you'd have five gem pits.
After that you'd be excavating 16,666 gems per month and pay 20,000 for a new gem pit every 2.4 months... a net gain of 8,333 per month. :)
EDIT:
However, would that maximum be maximum 5 purchases, or maximum 5 gem pits placed in game at any given time...
Since an exhausted gem pit wouldn't go back to the star menu after it's been exhausted, I assume it's the latter, but can't be sure...
Does anyone can tell me what is the production time for gem pit on first level?
surely it is not worth it if you buy a gem pit and save the gems for a second gem pit - you get nothing from it as you just recycling the gems into pits
Each gem pit costs 20,000 gems and contains 40,000 gems...
Thus, if you invest 20,000 gems in a pit, use all gems excavated to build 4 new pits (costing 80,000 gems),
you'd still end up having 120,000 gems in the end, when all 5 pits have been depleted (after a couple of years).
All sound good as long as you make sure to log in every 24 hours.... good luck :p
Yes, Gem Pit is a Trade Shop item you buy for 20,000 Gems. Once placed, it will dispence gems to your storage at a rate of 40,000 over 1 year = 1 gem every 13.14 mins = 109gems a day, for 1 year.
So you get double your gems back, but paid out very slowly over 1 year. (by which time you could probably work as a paper boy and buy 10x that much to use instantly. lol)
yes but scruffy its either a one time investment or keep paying for gems i just built one because we had the 300% gems on so now in 6 months i will buy another then 6 months after that buy another 2 then 6 months after buy the last 1 then i will end up with 100k gems for the price of 20k gems, i dont mind investing and waiting that long
Next time, please read the in-game descriptions. The shop says clearly that gem pits produce 20000 gems over 6 months, 40000 in total. And the maximum number of pits is 5. If someone is now wondering if you can get your well back into your star menu if you demolish it. NO you can't.
