Sadly it is. This is a huge blow to me. Now i have to wait 4 months for 10 more buildings.
If that is true, it removes much of the motivation for leveling, puts newer players in a clear disadvantage compared to those who have already claimed their rewards and this effect will be most visible when pvp option is introduced. Newer players would never have the same resources as older players without spending huge amounts of real money. While I understand that BB wants to try to actually sell the gems instead of giving some to people for leveling, this kind of imbalance is highly demotivating.
a mod said level 42-50 still get gems... but would not say how they knew that.
So questionable.
Aye. Still haven't seen proof either way. So to clear the raging confusion, a clear statement from BB would be needed about if and how the gem rewards have changed.
I must protest.
All the changes today were very enjoyable.
But I disapprove of this, giving by one hand and taking with the other.
Please give back the gem rewards for leveling up after 32.

The level up reward system has simply been changed, you guys will actually get more than ever before.
You will still get gems OR something of the same value whilst leveling.
I can also confirm that from Level 40 to 50, you will get more gems than before + coins :)

Just levelled from 32 to 33 and got 300 coins and 100 exotic wood. Think I would of preferred the 170 gems to be fair. If only I have levelled up 2 days ago :-(

Currently level 40. It doesn't mention levelling from 40-41 now, nor any reward for doing so, so do you automatically get the gems when you level up?
It's a start, though a proper list from BB would be much appreciated.

As to the new game i tried it in test so am used to it, my critisism is that the screen keeps freezing up and i have no guild tab, so have to go into guild shield every time i log in so i can talk to guild mates. Also why cant we cancel quests any more??

I'm very disapointed at BB atm, it feels like the oldtimers that have been here for a long time and managed to reach high levels are being punished, and new players rewarded.
Well just levelling up to 33 i am quite dissapointed...you plan weeks ahead for an adventure and then baammmm rewards get changed...Gems are harder to get then coins and I dont like it..

If the German wiki is right, we actually get less gems from leveling up after the update.

I just level up from 35 to 36 and i didn't get any gem.
So, it seems those of us who were hoping to finally start getting gems soon (to reach 32), were quite screwed over. All the other materials one can get in-game, so it doesn't really compare even if we were showered by that stuff. Basically means anyone who already managed to get to 40 got an extra 10-15 license-worth that we're stripped off. It balances slightly later on (late 40's), but even considering the total gem count [ref. chamois's post] we'll be about 9 license-worth short. Of course, anyone now around 40 wins.
All the other changes so far seemed great, but this gem stripping makes me sad.
Makes me mad too, i want the extra 400 gems i am going to be owed. I just lvl'ed up and got 400 gold coins for lvl 37... gold coins? I can get them easily enough, it's them gems i lvl up for.
i got nothing going from 35 to 36

By "same value" you mean as if you'd bought resources in trade shop for gems - Which everyone knows are VERY over priced compared to what you get them for in-game through the Trade Office. They are NOT same value as gems by a long shot.Quote:

IMO, this is a negative move. a step back. You now get LESS than you got before. As everyone knows the value of gems far outweighs any resources, and significantly outweighs gold (which cannot be used to get gem only items).
It's creating an environment where more people will be forced to buy gems, which is what this change is aimed at doing. Not supporting players in any way.

They never removed them. You get gems for leveling up.. it's just no longer a stated quest.
