Science: Geologist Skills

You can invest a maximum of 31 books in your geologist. All skills have three levels excepts for the highest three (Lucky Find, Natural Born Digger, Nature's Gift), those only have one. Since the three highest skills require 30 books invested in the levels below, you can only choose one of these

this skill say have a % change to find treasure
....but as i test many time
when you have a stone deposit available to find ... then you have 100% chance find a treasure (level 1 2 3 is same 100%)
when you had find all stone deposit ...then the geologist will fail to find a stone deposit and 0% change find a treasure....

correct, for now I assume it is a bug that will be fixed in a next maintenance.

All skills that have a chance to do something seem to do it 100% of the time.

any word if size bonuses apply to the double find skills?

Not officially, but the at the moment the bonus deposits do not benefit from other "improving" skills, they do apply to the "normal" deposit

I thought that was supposed to be fixed now. I haven't tried it, but that's the message we received on the test server forums.

if it doesnt apply the bonus to multiples, is that a bug that will be fixed? has this been stated somewhere? i dont mind spending points perhaps if it will be rectified later

Good question, but don't know the answer. You can interpret the skill descriptions in both ways.

For those that are wondering if you can skip "lines" while specializing your geologist.
Do note that these screenshots are from the current test server, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to use these particular setups. They are just to show that you can skip "lines"

Does anyone know what resources I can get from hidden coal stash skill? If there is chance for advanced resources (granite, ew, titan ore) than it might be worth it but if it is anything less than that then it is useless skill

Does this fill for example a gold mine to 300 units or maybe 374 units (if your geo has the skill)?
Does this fill a completely random deposit (thats under 100%?) or just 1 of the type of deposit you are searching for?
Does this skill only activate if search for deposit was successful?
Is there a mail message if a deposit is refilled?

Regarding "Natures gift" (the 10% chance of refilling a deposit), it seems to be refilling the deposit you´re searching for (copper, in my case).

I got two refills, for full mines, going from 827 copper ore to 847 ore. I really hope this skill is better than it seems, but for the moment, I regret picking it over the 8% larger deposits-one.

I have a big problem with this SPECIAL (sarcastic) gift...
I will explain this using my Jolly Geologist experiments.
A regular copper mine on S4 is 720
Since the geo has the skill to discover 15% bigger deposits, and in my country 720/100*15 is 108, he should discover deposits with 720+108=828 copper ore.
BUT my geo find always 827 copper ore, not big deals, we know how developers do math in this game.
NOW, if I send the geo several times, sometime I get the Nature's Gift.

what will you expect reading this description?
well, I tell you what append when after several try my geo find the Nature's Gift:
the discovered copper ore deposit is 847. Yep, you get an instant "refill" of 20 extra copper yayyyy. lets see, 3% refill will be 21.6 copper ore, so we are way below 3%, and they call it REFILL.
One more thing, was it not suppose to be a "random active deposit"???
There is nothing random in this, and and does not go to an active deposit but only apply to the deposit that the geo just discover. What they call "Gives a 10% chance of refilling a random active deposit" should be called "Gives a 10% chance of discover less than 3% bigger deposit"
If this is not a bug, I suggest everybody to avoid the Nature's Gift and get the Natural Born Digger, it will give 8% bigger deposits all the time (not only 10% of the time).

a Polish site said something about 10-30 exotic wood logs/granite;
got exotic wood logs, granite, gold bars and (maybe) saltpeter or titan; 10-50

Has anyone calculated best way to spread books? At a high level I don't care about little treasures, they are just too small.

Btw Is it normal that gems required for resetting tree goes bigger all the time? I think it started on 300 gems, when i was close to top 1400 gems and now 1550 gems?
