End of the 20th Anniversary Event

This translates roughly as follows (apologies for the bad translation, please check the original German):

Maintenance / end event

Dear Settlers

A restart of all game worlds will take place on Tuesday morning.

Worlds: all (1-14) closed*

Start: Tuesday, about 06:00 clock
End Date: Tuesday until 09:00 clock
Adventure: maturities be extended
Normal maintenance will also take place this week.
The birthday event ends with this maintenance.

Balloons will no longer be produced.
Current jobs queued in the provision house will be automatically terminated and the resources will be reimbursed.
The event quests will be removed

Information on the winners will be forthcoming this week.

Hmmm, strange that the Germans have servers 1-14, almost as if this announcement was aimed at their servers?! I think we should await official comment from BB_Alpaca before jumping to conclusions based on information that seems not to be aimed at us!

On Tuesday morning a worldwide restart of all game worlds will take place:

the normal maintainance is not applicable/ will NOT take place.

The birthday event ends with this maintenance.

Balloons can not be made anymore.

Any balloon making in the production house will be discontinued and used resources will be returned.

the event quest will not be cancelled

the winning information will be provided during the week

.......so if you have any resources (balloons making in the PH) coming to you this could be over filling the store house and resources will be lost! or not???? i have been a victim to this bug loads of times :S

End of the event + maintenance
Dear settlers,Work work
All game worlds will be restarted on Tuesday morning:

It is not possible to gain or produce balloons anymore
Transformation tasks in the provision house won't be continued.
Hence, it doesn't make sense to add transformation tasks
that won't be finished until 06:00 CEST tomorrow
The event quests will be removed

i would like to know if any balloons still in star menu will automatically be donated during the maintenance? Cos if not, my production stops at 10pm tonight!

nope they would have to be put in storage and donated i think as its only once in PH that gets cancelled by looks of it

also make sure you got room in your storage for returned resources from balloons or you will loose them like i did yesterday

Well, if they aren't, I'll have a few rather useless balloons to convert to gold coins at a bad rate, or to release up into the sky, or something. I'm not queuing other stuff instead now. It's only water that I'm losing, and that's going to be worthless after the event since the trade office will be flooded (bad pun intended).

The best at wasting resources in Phase 2 if you ask me. Since the UKs didn't reach 150% you don't get anything.

The US server got 225 Gems while the UK server got 200 Gems. :-)

Probably because the US did better in Phase 1.

Well at least we had fun doing it, and I'm not bothered that the US servers got 25 more gems than us. If you thought it was such a waste of resources and such paltry rewards, then I hope you have not accepted them.

Well, opened my pressie for the 150%, and it was almost the same, just 325 gems instead of 200, and another copy of The Shaman adv.
The big prize was of course reserved for the 1st to reach the target, and there was only ever going to be one winner of that.

So 150% was our target? I was wondering why I could not recall getting anything for us reaching the 100% mark.

I feel information about the whole thing could have been a lot better. First they keep refereeing to servers by numbers and not names, where are we supposed to find out what our server number is (I've been told by other veteran players, but I mean in general, where are players supposed to look this up?).

Yeah I'm late to the party I know, I just recently stated wondering to myself whatever became of that ballon event. We put in a lot of effort and managed to squeek past 100%, but I guess that was not our goalpost. Feel a bit sad about that, wasted a lot of resources for nothing. If I had known beforehand what the goal was I would have seen that it was impossible and not wasted the time (guess I should have done more research, but it seemed logical that the goal was to reach 100% and then anything beyond that was for bonus stuff).

Most of the rewards given were for reaching 100%. The extra rewards for 150% and 200% were small in comparison.
