Needless to say, yet another "care package" was delivered on the German servers today, in recompense for the Golem problems.
It contained yet another premium day, another Omniseed refill, the ubiquitous marble (funny how that's kept coming up since the Golem event started, wonder what we are supposed to do with it? :) ), and a couple of other items.
Think ours got lost in the post again? :(

Sure-- the reason why DE received these gifts was not at all because of the golem respawn issue. They received them because 1.) their website was completely down for a rather extended period of time and 2.) during their maintenance, due to an error Premium and Adventure times were not extended for DE.

and on top of this keep getting kicked from the game today with random "server busy" message. Add that to the reason a nice mail delivery package should be winging its way to us as well :(
These things happen everywhere, but only 1 language version keeps getting compensation/gifts/presents to commemorate a Roger Waters concert.
The contents are clearly being targeted to make the golem quests as easy as possible, since this event started each one has included marble, which has never been part of the myriad others that have appeared.
We seem to be in the 2nd division on all scores, not just the gifts but server performance and announcements, but still expected to bear the burdens no other version has to endure.
I want to see some gems in recompense actually. Its not just that gems are the best thing in the game, its that it is how BB gets its money. It would be nice to know that they are prepared to share the pain with us (our experience and their revenue), sadly as Peajay said - dream on

Having said that, I agree with Nogbad on every word. Please try to make us feel a little better with all of this, many of us feel like 2nd class players :(
What would be interesting is an answer to the 2 questions below....
- Can BB_Alpaca inform us as to who makes the decision on rewards / compensation / gifts (timing, content and amounts)?
- Is it up to the regional Community Manager or is it a centralised decision coming out from BB Head Office and hence focused on the German community as a priority?
why moan about what others get for free.....people should be moaning about more important things.german servers get treated differently cause they are german servers and BB is german company live with it or leave :).after all that has happened with the server events and such u still think moaning about it will make a difference.
What happens on other servers is of no concern to these 3 servers. New/San/North all get treated the same and that is all that matters. These complaints seem to be coming from a greedy few and it is embarrassing that newcomers would see this an adopt the same attitude.
I agree with MrMark when it comes to rewards. What other servers get or not... that doesn't really effect my game, I dont worry about it.
I dont agree when it comes to the information though. It happens too often that players find information on other servers, which we just cant get confirmed and apparently is unknown to support/community manager. When events/updates are the same for all servers, make sure everyone is informed. Now I'm not suggesting to give the germans less information so we're the same again (which would probably be the BB-solution), but to start keeping our servers informed.
Firstly I appreciate players that play on other servers highlight any inequality for players on all servers, not because it effects my game play but simply that it reports inequality, and that this is should not be tolerated by any company/community which relies on the goodwill and income from ALL of that community. Just because the currency may be different, is my £, $ or Euro any less valuable to the company ? If not then I should be treated exactly the same as those players paying other currency regardless of where I live, Unless the company can justify it. ( Whilst I appreciate BB Alpaca's explanation, it doesn't really go far enough, as has been pointed out, our servers are not performing particularly well as of late, failed log ins, booting's for no reason, lag to name but a few). No compensation for these have come our way, in fact as Promethos points out getting any information about these issues from BB ( even just an acknowledgement that they are aware of them) is unacceptably hard. Why should we have to rely on players playing on the DE servers to pass this information ( given promptly to them ) on to us, There has to be a better way for the company to communicate to ALL its players such simple information about things that are going wrong. If they don't, is it no wonder that some players start to feel second rate and not valued ( and will they invest real money while feeling that way? I think not ).
There are always going to be players that want everything for nothing, call them greedy if you must, but I don't think this is the issue highlighted here. I appreciate and I am sure other moderate players do too, that different servers will have different issues at different times. So there is not an `all one size fits all' when it comes to adding freebies to players accounts on those different servers for any problems they may have endured with their game due to a fault at BB. But they need to treat ALL players equally, and with a world wide audience, it has to be seen to be equal ( with little room for mis-interpretation )
In anticipation of Fishslice's questions being answered I would suggest that in case 1) They co-ordinate better, and for case 2) They formulate a coherent policy with broader vision.
So you are ok with the fact that other servers get compensation for problems but we do not.
And assistance every time there is an event. Not coincidental that stacks of marble are always in the latest rounds of 'compensation', sure makes killing golems less difficult, as do the wells and wheat refills. Unusual that these items suddenly seem to be the 'flavour of the month'.
Nice to see a step in the right direction this week, as far as we were concerned, add in some stacks of marble, wells and wheat refills, a couple of premium days, and some 'super buffs' to drop on pumpkin fields, and I'd almost feel an equal.

Starting 13 minutes early is not appreciated. There are many players that time buffs etc. on the basis we can do stuff up until at least 00:25am GMT. "Approx" doesn't give your support guys good reason to take the game offline early.

Why closing for mainenance earlier than announced. Done it 2 weeks in a row now, very annoying when I wanna do the last orders.

Yeah I usually buff 5 mins b4 maintenance. Cause it was early everything is running unbuffed now. I can handle up to 5 mins early but not 15! Plus I wont be getting up at 6 am either. No announcements in game chat by mods about the early maintenance.
Was wondering why the warning came up just after midnight. its usually around 12.15.
Any explanations?
In actuality the maintenance was later than announced.
The information states 00:30 am GMT+1 (aka BST) even though the server is hosted in London which has been on GMT since summer ended last Sunday.
Still having the information posted using Summer Time is more confusing than useful for most players though and should likely be amended to use just GMT next time. 11:30pm (UK time/WET/GMT) maintenance is not what they used last year.
Having it at 17 minutes past the hour was very messy though.

Hmmmn, Anyone planning to drop their buffs within 5 mins of an approx. shutdown is planning to fail; However, a "server shutdown in 5 mins" message can't be that hard to implement, and would allow anyone to work around some flexibility in the shutdown schedule. We've had weeks where the server has run on 10+ minutes past half 12, so it running short on occasion really shouldn't be a surprise, but a heads-up would make everything much, much easier all around.
Carping you've lost resources has zero chance of getting any action, but perhaps some constructive feedback would: As always, communication (or lack of) seems to be the issue. "Shutdown imminent" isn't really that helpful, as we all know it's going to happen. Alpaca, could you feedback a request for a 1h, 15 min and 5 min warning, which would actually be useful, and presumably not that difficult to implement?

Note: basket is not recommended either. Maintenance can go up to 10hrs something

I'm a paying customer and I would like to point out that this is a game. Treat it as such. So you lost an opportunity to make more coin. Like SIRBASTIAN said, is there a million pound prize that the rest of us should know about?
No PvP yet there are still people with such a competitive streak in this game.
