Easter event is over

Hello there,

so I started to achieve the Easter quests in chain until this one: All the eggs! It says "Acuire at least 800 Easter egg(s)."

Unfortunately I don't have any factory to produce Easter eggs. I don't steal it. I can't trade it because the prices are insanely high. 4 explorers found 20 eggs in 24 hours, so it will take 40 days to finish this quest. I produced 0 eggs from collectibles because I have million of Egg Paint, but less than 25 Simple Egg and less than 25 Wicker Basket.

It is a difficult one, especially as the first chain.
If you're in a guild you can temporarily trade eggs amongst eachother though, if you're in a guild that may be your best bet.

You can still of course keep sending your explorers out anyway and ignore the chain until you can reach the goal. Egg prices will drop to help out assuming you aren't in a guild.

I agree it is a bit silly to have this one as a first quest as it will take a long time for anyone who does not have a guild or a lot of friends to borrow from. BB's secret plan to make you spend gems on buying them maybe?

I was lucky and managed to borrow which I would suggest is the best plan at the moment.

If that task is the same as last year it doesn't matter if that is your first or last chain or how many eggs you have collected. Previously collected eggs doesn't count.

I sent my 300 eggs saved from last year to a friend as he had 500 he sent all 800 back and it counted.

It matters a little if it's the first or last chain, as if it's a later chain you're more likely to be able to gather up a loan from guildies than at the start.

As you say you have millions of egg paint, have you thought of trading them for wicker baskets or simple eggs. Or you could sell the paint for eggs, quite a few players would be willing to pay 1-2 eggs for 10 paint.

I've currently got over 800 eggs, and have already purchased to 3 Floaty Res. Getting 800 eggs is definitely possible for anyone who gets this quest (have to be level 40 or higher, Lv 25-39 have to get 500 eggs).

It's harder if you have no friends, but if you have one friend with the same quest, then get 400 each, and pass ALL the eggs you both have between yourselves until your quests are both complete, then re-split the eggs.

I will apologise now because this will be harsh, Your account is march 2012 you have played many of these events in the last two years. Every single event, no matter if its Easter, Football, Halloween, Xmas or a Crisis quest can all be easily beaten with careful research and preparation. That research/prep time is down to you to do, every single event we have, I make sure that I'm in the best possible position to go into it with.

You have no one to blame but yourself for your poorly planned event, Instead of whining on the forums start trading your egg paint for simple/wickers or see the trade ratio of egg paint to Easter egg. get a buddy to spam out DP adventures everyday. Sell any and all resources to stock pile coin/eggs... buy in the dips so you get more for your coin... resell on the highs if need be!!

This event is easier than previous years with the extra eggs from adventures, the collectibles, any older players with plenty of savage scouts.
This quest can be completed in a few days without even trading for eggs from friends or guild members.

there is always an option to complete it with gems, 150 gems to move forward is not massive (week and a half of free weekly gems) i got this as my first quest too and that's what i ended up doing to move forward

-- Borrow from friends
-- Borrow from guild members
(This is a multiplayer game, so relying on other players is a very valid requirement).

-- Buy with resources on the TO (you can then sell them back if you need to re-acquire your resources)
-- Find them with explorers (if you have enough explorers you can find them quick enough)
-- Get them from adventures (bit of a low drop, but every little helps)

And of course buying with gems for those who are comfortable with that.

That being said, the only real way to not be able to do this within 1 week is if you have no guild, have no friends, have no resources, and have no set of explorers to help you... which begs the question: Are you sure you are playing this game right? :P

Side note: If you can't get 800, how do you expect to buy anything anyways? At which point, its a moot point :P

I play on Northisle on my other character, I use 5 tavern generals and 3 tavern explorers, doing Iotp over and over with the egg hunt and a little trading I've accumulated just over 1200 eggs since the event started, if your not willing to put a little effort in you'll get nowhere.

If I remember correctly a similar discussion from last Easter one solution could be to leave your eggs in to the star menu and transfer them to the mayor's house when you get this quest. Of course this doesn't help those who already has this quest.

i do not understand how you can collect this number of eggs in 6 days , my friend has only managed to collect 43 of the 500 she needs to finish this quest , sending out 2 explorers twice a day has resulted in ZERO eggs back.
you suggest sending eggs between friends...... How can you do this ? trading eggs for nothing from a friend? (is this not an illegal trade) or do you trade fro something?

Please help i have 1 friend needs 800 and another needs 500 (i do not have this quest yet )

Okay you don't really need to finish it within 6 days, because the next quest will just queue up in the "waiting quest" section. As for trading, its just a loan as it were, set up a trade or trade's and lend them to each other, its not illegal its just working together as a group. I would suggest to only do this with people you actually trust though. Iv completed two dark priests today (just today) swapped the loot spots round to, so I've had 4 loot spots in dark priest today, that yielded 64 eggs alone and took me an hour or so. for your friend to only have 43 since the 9th tells me that they are not even trying really, because you can get 20 a day just from the collectables and that takes minimum effort.

Friend send you 800/500 eggs for 1 fish, and you back him after you complete quest.
also you can use few trick, reset counter to zero. you can do that on 2 way. put all your eggs in TO for very high price for 1000 granite per eggs and immediately remove offer or you can send to your frined all your eggs and hi must decline your trade.

thank you we traded and finished the quests for my friends.

my friend with 43 eggs is low level only has to treasure hunters and does not get enough of the egg baskets etc to do the buff on mayor house.
we do not get 20 eggs per day on collectibles.....

I have done 2 Dark priest adventures, 1 stealing from the rich today and got ZERO eggs from any.....(with premium time on).

All the "hints" in second paragraph absolutuly ignore what I wrote. So, what's the point of your post excluding boosting your post count?

Btw, 4 explorers on 24 hours treasure search found exactly 0 eggs today. Lovely.

Seems pretty logical to me, Play the test server, and prepare! If you choose not to, then don't cry over the outcome.

As far as your second paragraph goes, You mention trade, Collectables and explorers. I to mention trade, Collectables and adventures all very much relevant to the current event.

Playing test server is logical for you. Ehm. Probably for every no lifer. Jesus ... .
