I've just done IoP taking only recruits, that didn't register as complete either. Used MMA, that could be the problem but I think it needs to be clearer which generals are allowed.

Just did lost skull as well with the same result... what is going on here? there is no mention of not using specific generals so it is a bug in my opinion.

I have same problem in Witch of the swamp adv, completing without soldiers quest. Didn't bring them even to adv and still not completed
Description in the sub menu is wrong too for Horses Can't Swin. Complete The Lost Skull using only the following units..and cavalry is listed, umm hello it says not to use cavalry.
Later edit (after more investigation): I can confirm there is currently a bug with this achievement. While the text says "without using any cavalry", the achievement is completed if you do not use any soldiers. We are aware of the issue.

May I suggest its not bugged - for all you sci-fi fans out there the solution is easy - BB coders live in an alternative universe where normal logic doesn't exist and as they obviously know better than us they don't care what we think.
Use that logic and it all makes sense.

Did Gunpowder - without bringing any C. That part of quest is still not completed for me, nor is it completed for 1 lootspot player. However - it is completed for fishslice who had the 3rd spot (jammy whatsit...) Any plausible explanations?
I did use MMA and Major... I fail to see how MMA could be the issue when 1 player gets the quest completed, and the other 2 does not
and I took a fast general bought from the shop, not a tavern one but a Battle Hardened General. So that's also not consistent with the earlier post saying its a slow Tavern General only. Besides which we should have all got the same rewards.

In the same club however when reading a little more detail noticed another possible cause.
Quest = Complete 'The lost Skull' without using any cavalry, but when you click on quest it expands to read -
Complete the Lost skull only using the following units: Recruit, Militia, Bowman, Cavalry, Elite Soldier, Crossbowman, Cannoneer.
So in the list it says we can use Cav & the only unit not listed is Soldier... Errrrrrrrrr so possibly not worded correctly?

in horses cant swim, it says using no cavs, but click on horses cant swim and it tells you what you CAN use......cavs...lol. but no mention of soldiers in drop down.
You can call it a typo a bug or whatever... i just did the adv without noticing the exact description of this achievement and i only based my troop setups on the titles. Used mostly soldiers as losses and it ended up not completed. And then i noticed the description...

The Lost Skull - 'Horses Can't Swim' has bug. Quest is 'Complete "The Lost Skull" without using any cavalry', but in list of units is cavalry but it's missing soldiers.

all of lost skull completes if you leave the mma at home and exclude soldiers instead of cav....
Have just completed Lost Skull without using, or indeed even taking, any Cavalry at all.
I didn't use the MMA at all.
I took 2 vets (as transport) and did all camps with my shiny new Major General.
The 4th part of the achievements "Horses can't swim" did not complete.
Not the end of the world.
Just annoying

The text is incorrect, the top part says without cav, but the underneath part says without soldiers. You should complete the achievement without soldiers.
lol i took soldiers and all achievements are complete
The question is, why when this is just a simple piece of text, did BB not fix it in their last maint?
This bug is still in the live version. I just completed the adventure without sending any cav to the island at all. Did not get this achievement.
has somebody now when will be this small problem fixed?

i found bug in Achievements Pane. Adventure Lost skull has wrong title of 4th achievement.
The title is - Complete Lost Skull without using any cavalry.
But in the detail cavs are allowed, but soldiers dont.
