totally agree, they should have good loot to encourage people to work together and complete them.
I agree too, co-ops are no longer worth doing as the loot is not deemed enough to cover the cost of doing them. Co-ops got off to a rocky start when they were first introduced, but people eventually warmed to them and many enjoyed playing them, but now it is very hard to find players willing to do them. The idea of co-op adventures is a nice one, players working together on a single adv, but without good loot, they will just become like other certain adv's that fill up star menu, and can't even be sold for 5 coins. I used to love doing tombraiders, but don't do any now.
+1 there used to be a healthy interest in Tomb Raiders in particular until they nerfed it
same.
The problem of Coops is that we constantly run a risk of one of the 4 players causing major delay thanks to Real Life, and 3 other suffer.
In regular adventures, 1 player (who has as much time as they desire) will complete most parts, then invite others for a total of 15 minutes, sometimes less ("Instakills"), so players are much less likely to impair the gaming experience of others.
Coops used to compensate this risk with interesting loot, but that is now a thing of the past.
Higher risk + more frustation = less reward, doesn't compute in my book.
I have done usually more than 5 TR's per day, there was a community which has done co ops (in this case especially TR) and we enjoyed playing. Now its hard even to find players for coops and tbh I dont really have big interest getting low granite or even flowers, I rather do RB and lose almost the same amount of troops as I did at TR and therefor have a 3x chance for 1,5k granite and WT if I swap the spots.
I have done like 4 TR's since the loot was changed and only because I felt sorry for ppl I knew and saw them they cant find a player.
lets be realistic none of the normal adventures (not tailor) are worth running cept RB.
That's your personal opinion I find plenty of normal adventures profitable especially since bread, brew and bronze swords are almost being given away since the changes.
Although I never really bothered with Co-ops even before the changes took place I can agree they have almost died since the changes, they should have something to mark them apart from normal adventures or no-one is going to bother. Pretty easy solution might be a chance to get a noble deed.
Its not just the co-op adventures that need adjusting, but the less popular ones and since the loot update ones that used to be popular and are no longer.
To me it appears obvious that troops lost and time needed represent difficulty and should be rewarded as such. Then there are the co-op adventures which require good co-ordination from all the participants and should be more rewarding than adventures a single player can complete.
The lootspot issue could have been fixed long ago too, by giving loot to anyone invited without needing to kill a bandit, or require certain camps to be beaten by other players similar to the co-op design.
Since the introduction of premium time, lootspots are being sold at a higher price than the value of the loot for a player without premium. It would be great for the game if the devs were somehow able to fix these issues, instead we see a game that new players will find even harder than players did 2-3 years ago.
These adventures - notably Tomb Raiders - used to be great. They got people working together, particularly in active guilds. Then the loot changes in November killed all that.
It seems the drop rate from adventure searches has gone up significantly, while the number of players doing them has dropped. I have accumulated so many I trade them away for a fish.
I would suggest a better way to encourage more people to play co-ops would be to make the loot more attractive rather than ramming the adventure maps down our throats through higher drop rates.

hear, hear
Suggested that as well ages ago, including making less desirable adventures somewhat better. I got shot down hard here by the players rofl
It is going to be hard to agree on what ads are less desirable, as we have different oppinions on that.
I only played since december but I must say that some adv seem to pile up in my star.
the co-ops are among them, and that is not because I dont do them or dont like to do them. I can see that sometimes I get tired just to look at 18 of the same adv, and that alone makes me not want to do them, so yes - spamming us with them does not make us want to do them.
One adv I have done one time - and I am selling them in TO for a fish or a few map frag, and that is Wild Mary. It is not a bad adv really, but you just lose way too many troops compared to the loot, so yes it might help making the loot better in some advs.
And for the co-ops - why do they not show up in the guild quest ? - I am sure then more would do them.
Agreed that if the co-op's had better loot, they would get played more. Also agreed that if they were in guild quests that would also be an encouragement - and if some guild coins were thrown in for the players that participated, I think you would see them played even more.
+1 - multiplayer and co-op adventures should give better loots and should be the only ones that feature in guild quests. They encourage player co-operation and help the overall game experience for those in guilds.Quote:

As far as I'm concerned they are a failed experiment and should be removed from the game when they were done it wasn't because they were anymore enjoyable than any other adventure it was because the loot was very profitable for the effort involved on 1 or 2 of them, once the loot changes took place they were dropped like a hot brick.
Though it can't be proved by myself the droprate for these adventures from searches seems to have increased recently and it is rather annoying to realise that 9 mf is actually more valuable than getting one of them.
As for putting them in guild quests maybe that would work for 56+ member guilds but not for smaller ones.
A change that might make them more appealing over other adventures is remove the 15/30 min travel times to the adventure and reduce it to 2 minutes.
good idea on the travel time reduction - that would at least nigh on guarantee any player involved doesnt forget to rejoin after sending troops, or even forget totally its running, as has been the case in the past.
Id love for BB to action that idea
To my mind the biggest reason for the failure is the lack of a adventure tab in chat.
Loot from adventures since the changes is made up mostly of what we can produce on Home Island making it much less desirable to lose troops only to regain the stuff used to make those troops.
Adventures loot should be a better source of Granite etc to encourage players to actually make the effort to do them.
The extra effort needed to complete a co-op adventure should be rewarded with extra high end loot.
Co-op adventures add a lot to BB's clicks ratings but *ONLY* if players do them
Just one problem with the current drops, lack of imagination.

Ive just had another week of scouts looking for scenarios, and I have to say again, it was more coops than any other adventure that they found.
I suppose I was just unlucky, but the scenarios do seem to be heavily penalised in favour of coops percentage-wise, and since the "rebalance" of the loot and the fact that the coops are pretty much worthless these days, I feel like I'm being mugged for my gcs and sausages every day
I agree with this +1
most people don't bother with them anymore, which is a shame since if it was rewarding in any way at all they'd be played more often

Coops used to be interesting to do during events, but even that did BB have to ruin.

We used to do a lot of coops together in guild on a Sunday, and we had a lot of fun with it - different groups racing each other to finish, seeing how many we could complete in a given time frame, that sort of thing - but since they destroyed the loot nobody wants to do them any more. They also seem to have a disproportionately high drop rate in adv searches, and are just cluttering up people's star menus.
The loot definitely needs to be rethought, as does the drop rate. A lot of my guild have pretty much stopped doing adv searches, since, as jollyfog mentioned, it's not worth the gcs and sausages to get an adv that's completely worthless, and the chances of finding a coop seems to have significantly increased.
I used to do a lot of co-ops too, but almost none now, as the loot is not worth the costs. I would love to see a rethink on the co-op adv loots.
I would like to add BK if you are short with star coins, 3 MMA, fast & furious, small map, 240-280 star coins

I would like to collect at least one bone church but alone it is difficult :) nobody want co-op adventures, only fairytales for bean and bean and bean and of course bean. Co-op today waste of time.
Weekly quests: with some tasks, 1 task do a specific co-op map reward lots of xp/star coin + random drops (random buff, random building, random common materials, random rare materials)
And when I suggested this funny enough I was shot down by a ton of people ...
I actually said most of the adventures aren't worth it anymore and suggested they needed to be changed.
Even opened a thread for it so people could suggest which adventure and what changes to it they wanted to see to it.
This was after the weapons were removed btw ....
Funny how things change appearantly in people's opinion -_-
I wonder how BB expected us to still do them, when it's obvious we get less than we loose. Loots look like a bad joke. I wonder if BB checks statistics for the adventures played by users, before the changes and after. Any good manger should do this.
I loved TR, was my favorite adventure and I made a lot of friends at the time. Now it's so quiet...
Some of my friends started to do WW instead, but I'm not convinced to do it, even if I badly want a Bone Church. In so many months since they started, only one got a Church.
Agreed. The stats that would be available would indicated that the co-ops are not being played. I dump mine as soon as I get them. As far as the drop rates, anyone that has read frequent posts knows that I'm a defender of random and odds and that you can't predict anything... but it is true the co-ops seem to show up more than they should. If the odds favor getting them - but few people are playing them - that should clearly be a statement to the ones controlling the tables.
+1 co-op loots need adjustment. I do not want to do them but i do sometimes to help out others because they have difficulty finding partners and why coz the loot is not good.
I agree that the co-op adventure is an adventure with a lot of losses and a bad loot. Hope they change it with a better loot.
Must-do.
Should be significantly more valuable, especially since it requires cooperation rather than chillaxing.
Please BB ravel do something about co-op loot. I'd love to do adv with ppl so thats why I love co-op adv but everyday its become harder and harder to find ppl interested in playing those. I believe by offering better loot ppl will put more attention to co-op and BB can grow their game community back as ppl will begin to chat a little more
