I agree... all the active buildings have repair buttons, even though you never get attacked and none of those buildings are ever damaged in any way, shape or form. The repair button would me much more useful with the empty wells or exhausted wheat fields and perhaps even the collapsed mines. Make it possible for the geologist to find a deposit under a collapsed mine and then to repair the mine for a slightly lower cost than building a new one.
i think that rebuilding wells and fields wud be less frustrating if the q was extended just for those 2 types of building to 10,15 or even 20, or you could have them on a seperate build q of thier own. ATM having to spend 30-60min at least to rebuild wells and fields every day or two takes up time that can be better spent adventuring or trading (trading is another time consuming task but thats another thread)

Good points being made here. TSO should allow players to rebuild a field/mine/well when exhausted, at a reduced cost, instead of having to go through the hassle of sending out the Geologist to find a new supply, or replacing the field/well on an existing plot.

They are there for a reason in the shop - as is the tedium of rebuilding :P
True, this is a way around the issue. However, this would likely mean buying Gems and it's a moot point with me that games companies advertise their, 'free online game', only for the player to realise it's advantageous to buy Diamonds/Gold/Gems/etc to enhance and improve the gaming experience. If not careful, players soon find themselves paying a lot of money each month on their gaming hobby.
*I have spent many £'s over the years on these 'free games' and I'm now determined to play the games without handing over my hard earned cash :-)
As you increase in the game you get better wells/fields. I admit it would be nice if the advanced ones were available a few levels earlier but like everything else in this game, it's all supposed to be stuff you can work towards rather than get it all at the beginning. Annoying though it sometimes is to rebuild wells/fields if you have so many it takes you 'that' long to rebuild, then that's how you've chosen to build your economy. Longest I've spent is possibly half an hour, during which time I've sent off geologists, sorted me explorers, checked trade - lots of things you can do instead of just wait
I think it would be really nice (and not too hard to implement) to have a rebuild option on exhausted fields/wells. I spend a lot of time rebuilding every day, so this would be nice for me at least.
1) Let exhausted mines, wells, deposits and fields have the little red "!" floating above them to make them easier to find.
2) When you click on any exhausted well or field you have a "rebuild" button next to the demolish button. This then adds it to your build queue (if there is space on it).
3) Clicking on an exhausted mine/stone/marble deposit gives you the option to either demolish or send a geologist (or jolly geologist if you have one), if there are any available.
4) Clicking on fish/game deposit gives you the option to restock it if you have fish food/musk available.
This would remove a lot of tedium involved in rebuilding all the stuff you have to :-D

Really like this list of ideas :) Wouldn't be game breaking and help, especially on the well/field front.
It would have been nice if u had an option to que up fields in the farms like up to 3 or 5, so that they rebuilded automatecly over the nearest depelted field. It could be given a max range of 30 sec walking time so that it dont walks to the field at opposite side of map to rebuild tough :)
COz i am using sometimes half a day more or less to rebuild my mines/wells/farms etc.. It could give us a little break.

If I click on an exhausted building (like a wheatfield or well), I would like to be able to rebuild it by clicking on it, maybe at a slightly reduced cost because the remains of the well are still there.

This would be great for wells and fields. Also for mines but much lower priority. But it is best to delete and replace before they are totally exhausted. So not just for exhausted buildings please.

Im quite annoyed with constantly rebuilding wheat-fields and wells.
I know that we can buy silos and watermills, but it would be a timesaver if we didnt have to keep the "build" window open and select wheat-field or well then placing it on the spot that has expired.
How bout if we added a selection to the "Tear down menu" so we just have to click on the expired field/well and rebuild it without having to open the buildmenu?

its a really good idea.. i would love to 1 click rebuild those buildings..
instead of a rebuild an alternative could be to auto rebuild fields/wells. (but as they offer silos and watermills they wouldnt want to make those useless) so meaby give the option to auto build (for 2x normal build costs?)
Yes, and I was thinking the other day there should be a similar function when queuing up troops or buffs in the barracks/provision house: start one group going, then click on it to repeat it.

It will allow you to have a quick overview of what recently happened in your settlement. With a single click you will be able to refill a mine or to demolish a depleted one. Furthermore, the improved news window will show remaining times of geologists, explorers, completion of buffs and units.

That development post makes no mention about fields and wells.
Oh yeah... and doesn't even mention rebuilding. Maybe I just presumed that in the 6 months since BB posted that, that they would have added well and field rebuilding to it too :)
I do like this idea even though I mostly just use the build menu and look for highlighted green patches in my well building area.
Having the facility to do the rebuild just from clicking the depleted item would be very helpful.

nice idea but BB will never do this, it is supposed to be boring building wells. So buy gems and get some watermills/silos...........
This panel shows only "Exhausted well", not the type. So how to choose which type to rebuild, a simple, a deep, a bottomless from building menu, or artesian from star (if you have)? Moreover does not show the level it was...
how about a screen when you begin your game showing you what mines/fields/wells are exhausted and give you the option of clicking a tick box to have your geo instantly go searching or rebuilding your field/well..
something like this would be good in my opinion...

It would be nice if when you click on an exhausted wheatfield or well, instead of having just the option to "tear down" we could also have the option to rebuild the same wheatfield or well. Similarly on an ore deposit, it would be nice if clicking on it gave you the option to build a mine on the site.
This would be a much easier method then having to click the building menu and selecting the appropriate building each time.
