There isn't many gold sinks in the game, this is one of the very few, Sure explorers and science use a small amount, and the one off upgrade fee's too...To may remove a fraction... But all in all coin removal is a positive and necessary process, So im sorry a -1 from me.
its 1-2 times per year...most of the players cant afford to move them...so it just let them there
Yes I read the first post, Even so 1-2 a year would equal no one ever paying again, We would all just wait the 5 months... Overall this would allow 100ks to remain in game that would have otherwise been removed.
How do you know what most players can and cant afford? Just curious :)
because most of the "old" players quit the game and now they came back...and they lack fonds to replace the buildings position
I don't need free of charge. Instead, I want to temporarily put all my buildings in star menu, completely empty my island, and let me rearrange my whole island.
Im hoping with new island we get a free move week too :)
I'm rather curious how you arrived at a figure of just one day for building moves, for some chains it can take weeks to double check that you have done the right move and have not made a mistake which has lowered the production throughput of the chain.
As for returning old players, well it takes time to get back into the game so when they first return they may not be up to speed on how they would like to re-arrange their islands.
Also we get old players returning all the time, they don't all return en-mass on a certain date. so to fulfill the objective you are asking for, for the reason you have stated then every day would have to be a free move day.
I'm with Bryarg... building moves are a much needed gold sink.
I am also wary of the amount of lag that the last free movement period induced.
Why not allow buildings to be demolished to star and then re-built at their current level?
I just want to move store houses, so many players start and do not know where to place a store, they stick it somewhere out of the way and then realise they need to put other buildings round or near them, but they cannot move them
Back over Easter we had a period of moving buildings for free.
This was a great benefit to many players and as a newbie I was only just starting to understand island spacing and management.
Now my island use grown and i realise the benifit of blocking certain building together, I could really do with this again.
Would it be possible to have this again or produce a buff which gives a 6 hour period of free move?

Hi BB ,
Would it be possible to have another free moving day soon ?
Would be a big help to my messy island ........

I think it was back i April we had a period when we could move buildings for free. This was a great idea and it would be great to have a day soon when we can again do this.
It can get expensive to keep moving building to see where the best sit and this would improve te overall gameplay for most of us.
Please let us know if there are any plans to offer this again?
that happened because we got a lot of new territory (thank you bb). if you want to move a building u have to pay resources, its part of the game.
We haven't had a free to move buildings weekend in some time, really need to re-arrange my whole island - would be lovely to have that as an event again!! Or perhaps it could be produced as a buff.
From Ask Me Anything: Answers thread (Question 82)
My advice would be, if your island really needs rearranging that badly, then bite the bullet and get on with doing it and don't hold your breath waiting for another move event. To be honest, if a move is not worth the cost then you don't really need to do it.Quote:

Sorry Urd123, but your memory is flawed:
The last move event was implemented to allow players to adjust their building placements after updates to the game that prevented the bush removal trick from working and that added extra building space.
I would like to see Storehouse be normally movable, but that's not what your post was about :)
The free moves (and things like free redistribution of books on specialists) happen when the game mechanics have changed in such a way that it is warranted. New buildings that are required to advance, new skills, etc.
Otherwise I'm on the side of planning ahead, and dealing with it if you want to shift directions or get a better building than you had before or whatever.
i would love a free move day along with a lot of others i know too
i've spent a lot of resources moving a lot of buildings this week and I see no prob with it at all. I planned where I wanted to put the buildings (test server is a good place to help with this), did lots of adv's to get the resources and then finally did the moves. I enjoyed the whole experience.
most were lvl5 buildings and I am now planning which lvl6 buildings to demolish. if I could move buildings for free, I'd just shuffle things around aimlessly and soon get bored.
I would love the opportunity that this would give but I tend to agree that such events should be very infrequent. how about a zone-wide buff that gives free moves for a day and is only available as a reward for completing a crisis quest. The crisis quest would be the resources sink.
i think Gavona maybe on to something here
With the crisis qúests they try and give us something which has value to everyone. A free move day token would be valueless to those who have no need to move buildings. To those players the only time they would have a need to move a load of buildings would be when a update to the game provides a need for it, in that situation they already give us a free move.
