I did a nords, and received 35763 experience points, and also 31 star coins.
EVERY individual camp was killed with a star skilled general, which was also a fast learner, hence the 35k experience.
I even killed the dogs. No camp was missed out and no leader was killed unless every camp in sector was killed first.
So why is there only 31 star coins?
Can someone tell me what i'm missing thanks.
I have retained every battle report and the loot mail.
Sounds like the star coin skill is applied b4 the xp skill, pity that.
if so, why not 27 coins?
Only a guess - but could be rounding - how many different generals did you use ? - could be rounding by general or by camp.
Calculating star coins will not be done by taking 1/1000 of gained XP - but must somehow be done by camp or by general.
Bounty Hunter
After completing an adventure, gain 1 star coin for every 1,000 XP worth of enemies defeated by this army.
So I guess it's calculated after every camp, hence not stacking.

Got no idea why this is happening only on the bigger adventures, I did a Bastille, also got 8k xp and 8 stars
Adventures completed with star coins generals, all camps killed individually
arctic xp 17.7k Stars 18 correct and expected
bandit xp 12.5k Stars 13 correct and expected
bastille xp 8.7k Stars 8, unsure was expecting 10k experience since wiki says 7k xp, and only 50 xp for collecting invasion plans
woodcutter xp 182k Stars 109 not correct,183 expected
nords xp 35.7k Stars 31 not correct, 36 expected
I have 2 MGs, 2 MMAs and Vargus, all fully booked using Fast Learner and Bounty Hunter
I did a Woodcutter, got 77 star coins
Then I did 3rd Thief, got 170 star coins
Then I did another 3rd Thief, got 77 star coins
Then either 3rd Thief or Woodcutter, again 77 star coins
And a Woodcutter, again 77 star coins
Then a Valiant Little Tailor, 4 star coins (yes, 4 star coins)
In Woodcutter, I follow the Wiki guide for MG+MMA+Vargus
In 3rd Thief, I follow the Wiki guide for MG+Vargus
In VLT, I followed the Wiki guide for MG+MMA+Cannoneers (guide that used 740LB / 701M). I used an MMA on first wave attacks of 200B or 200LB instead of using a normal 200 gen. Likewise, I used Vargus for one or two first wave attacks with R. As I only have 5 fully booked gens, I waited for the MMAs to recover instead of using other gens. So all main attacks were done with fully booked gens. And as I have other (real life) things to do, I started yesterday, finished this afternon.
But why only 4 star coins for the VLT??
you need to kill every single camp individually, blocks do not count, and if you kill leader with camps still standing, those camps do not count.
Plus bounty hunter or the adventure is bugged i suspect.
Got 3 generals with star coins skill.
The skill says its 1 coin per 1000 exp worth of enemies defeated. Finished Valiant Little Tailor killing only with those 3 Gens, received over 90 000 of exp and ...only 3 star coins.
I suppose that is camp was worth lets say 3 200 exp, then general will get only 3 coins for it, but still with roughly calculation that should be around 70-80 coins per adv. On test server I was getting about 87 if I remember correctly.
I will stress once again, all kills including suicide waves were done only with star skilled generals.
Something is really off here.

Well i did some experimenting
I redone a nords which gave me 31 stars for 36k xp first time. This time used two star generals and killed alternate camps, got 36 stars for 36k xp.
Did either of you only use one star general?
I used a single star general on YWC and only got 109 stars instead of 182. Same on first nords. Both gave me less stars.
As for leaving island, that is a possible culprit, i left the YWC a couple of times.
I believe you get star coins for the EXP that you gain from that general, not the overall EXP that you gain from adv.Quote:

As I said, I used only 3 generals during whole adventure, all had star coins mastery. There wasnt even 1 camp killed by other general, so overall I should get star coins for all camps.

so i have managed to go up from 109 coins to 154, no idea where the missing 28 stars have gone.
I shall try another one, one major, no other general involved. See if goes back to 109 or what.
Finally, 182 star coins from woodcutter third attempt.
Use a single star general
Kill each camp in single attack
Interceptions are counted as blocks, kill each camp individually, or lose the stars
Suicide waves are counted as zero experience for stars, additionally, if the general has previously gained experience, you lose all his stars if you suicide him.
So one wave attacks using only one star general will gain you 182 stars if you kill every camp.
Im off to try two generals, but no suicides, so good luck people, bounty hunter only works if you know how it counts.

I'm not saying there is bug or not, but you counted whole 198k xp, while you must count the exp you get from the camps that you kill using generals, any camps you skip or block, you get EXP of them but not star.Quote:

there is very clearly a bug in the system
it could be resetting when we return to our home island - i normally return to my home island about halfway through a woodcutter and several times in VLT (and always before final attacks on RR)
Ammok - with that woody, did you kill every camp or did you do blocks?
did you return to your home island during the adventure?
Killed every camp.
And it is not the returning home exactly that reduces your coins.
BUT i do know what does reduce your coins, even to zero coins.
I did a Surprise last night, usually get 55 coins, but this i left it overnight, 12 COINS!!!
Star counter resets the longer you are away from keyboard, CONCLUSIVE PROOF.

I just did VLT again
Normally I return to my home island before I kill the final camp - in the last 2 VLTs, I got only 4 star coins
This time, I stayed on the island throughout sector 4 - I didn't return to my home island. I got 20 star coins. Screenshot below.
I have already suggested to support that the count is resetting if we return to our home island .....

Did some more experiments and can correct some previous comments.
You can leave adventure multiple times for short periods and not lose star coins. I suspect if you log out you will lose star coins. Perhaps that what happened to you lordofeverything.
You can use multiple kills (interceptions) and not lose star coins.
Both these amendments are for one adventure started and finished in one run, no log outs.
So quick quick scurry scurry appears to be good workaround until a fix is arranged, and this may be some time. Good Luck Bounty Hunters :)

Yes it is log out that resets stars, you log out game you lose the stars.
