Anyone investigated or learnt from test how best to skill up? Currently thinking 3 x unstoppable charge, 3 x first aid and 1-up so as to use for Knight sac waves on MCC ?

Don't know about the knight suicides but for the AM suicides will work very well
I find the ideal way to test my setup, is to see how far they can get on a solo run to Witch of the Swamp with recruits only. The further they get, the better the setup.
The furthest I have got with Field Medic is all the way to the final tower before a defeat.
So initial play with UC x3 and FA x 3 with a 60 cav sac wave on an MCC camp was 37 loss, 23 revived .. so about a 60% loss total
Since he is a Kamikaze general for me and i'll be using him on MCC and Arabians mostly here's what i think i'll give him:
3x Jog + 3 First Aid + 2x Juggernaut for the added damage, could use the bowman skill but nowdays Nusala suicides bows.
Then i'm thinking, 3x Snipper Trainning because it saves marksman and on MCC we now use them and who knows in the future
Then i'd go 3x Flesh wound for max usability per adventure
Then 3x unstopable charge for extra knight damage and splash if he's used with knights too.
then 3x garrisson anex
Then 1-Up
What you guys think?
i've got pretty much that but finding say a 50k sac wave on MMC does only a little more than a skilled MMA 1k - so 'on first glance' he looks more like a drac than a MMA but obv need more runs / sims to play with him
He was good on a few camps on SLT tho with bow sac waves ..
I’ve got a similar build, I would generally agree. Only differences I would lean towards would be maybe going navigation course instead of sniper training, and master planner over 1up
I also went pretty much like JoeShmoe did but I did apply some rapid fire. Of course Nusala is best with bows but she can also take out bosses so I don't sacrifice her as often. I see the Field Medic as a pure wave general so as much damage to enemy troops as possible (and no skills against bosses), shortest possible healing time and 1-up so that he can be used as often as possible on an adventure.

Went for upgrades that would be most useful for MC chain.
not understanding the battle system at all means i'll wait for a guide.
atm it looks like suiciding for the sake of it. does he really save u troops on slt and do u really need a few extra r's to survive?
Mine hasn't left star yet and i have no use for him... looking forward to the new gen in h'ween :)
Used just for suicide wave attack with 3 manuscripts on first aid, taking it to 39%. Out of 200 bowmen, 78 survive with injuries...
i just put enough books for 1 up , in mountain campaign he can save me a few Knights in sacrifice attacks.
I've skilled my medic as if he was Nusala so he substitutes for her if Nusala is recovering or I don't want to lose valuable troops. I get troops back that I would have lost for ever using her as a suicide general. For example in Wiki's Woodcutter guide there is a point when Nusala loses 72 knights. I'm getting 30 back & knights are expensive & slow to replace.
I think she will be useful for Mountain Clan where Nusala is used quite a bit but I haven't tried him on that yet.
thats an interesting idea rj. Nus is my only gen not skilled according to guides as i prefer 1 up. i might reskill her now :)
wondering if the field medic might suddenly make something like longbows useful... a bit too busy to do the number crunching for the next week, but would be worth exploring whether a combination like first aid, sniper training, garrison and flesh wound would allow for more powerful sac rounds. It more than doubles the minimum attack damage...
I put 3* First Aid ... and nothing else.
My Field Medic now stands in for my General in first wave hits ... still the same attack, and a 2 hour stand down, but he returns 39% of the troops used.
On some camps medic beats Major and Anslem as attack general - he takes higher losses - but final result is lower loss :)
It's worth looking at any camp where you currently use an MMA - there are several cases where he comes in with reduced losses.
As an example, on the final camp of YWC I replaced my 88Kn MMA sac wave with a 100Kn Medic wave - he comes back with much lower losses (especially if he's been skilled up), and does more damage so the final wave also has reduced losses.
