just a lil patience needed, but it never usually takes this long
I've had this loading bar problem for two days now. The bar stops a short way in, about level with the chap's belt buckle.
I haven't changed anything on my computer. Never had a problem loading the game before.
I've tried refreshing, logging out, clearing cache/DNS, powering off, all to no effect.
I'm able to log in through my phone to keep my island active but the gameplay is limited.
Anyone think of anything else to try, or what might be causing it?
Update: changed browser to Chrome and I got in! So, anyone know why this was necessary?
Having this problem since the update,bar sticks and takes ages to load,tried a different browser but same thing happens
The problem i see is that after all the files are downloaded from servers ( approx 11 minutes ) , my computer sits doing nothing for up to 15 minutes , with the line stuck level with end of house lhs of loading graphic.
If i am lucky it then suddenly goes to the main game screen , if not , i have to once more clear the cache, re-download every file again ( nothing in cache of course ) and it may load , took 4 attempts , each time after 30 minutes clearing cache before i logged in.

Only been like this the last 2 days for me and I have done nothing to my pc!
All i see while the system does nothing is repeated requests to facebook , i don't use facebook login , so why is settlers constantly talking to facebook servers ???

Someone somewhere mentioned logging in to facebook and the loading working perfectly afterwards. Even if they don't normally log in via FB.
WTF!. This is like 3rd day of constant problems logging in into TSO. Loading page freezes during login. Every time to succeed to log in, I have to kill with Google Chrome task manager the Flash Plugin. I do not use Facebook for the logging in btw. Is that the login issue, again?
Wasted entire 2 hours to try to login for a stinky reward from a guild quest, which I do clearly only to help my guild mates. I tried clearing flash plugin today repeatedly and login doesn't work. BlueByte, you butchered again this Ubisoft login. Be so kind and fix it again. Gonna check on monday, if Ubisoft login works again. This weekend will have to be TSO free for my part. Oh well.
been having exactly same issue. Loading stops about 40% and does not finish. Been waiting for official post. This thread saved my mind, issue is there and not here.Quote:

Different browsers, different machines, different OS, different locations, cleared caches, all consistent in getting about 1/3 of the way across the screen (just about below the guy walking towards the river) then it sits there, leave it long enough and sometimes it actually decides to make it across all the way.

ye takes like 30/60 mins to load using edge been like this last 5 months atlest other stuff works fine
Event is gonna kinda suck if i cant even log in to do it. My load bar gets stuck just below the river. Been that way for about 3 days now.
After multiple (sometimes 2 sometimes 10+) refreshes it loads. Getting in takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
My explorers is gonna sit in star wondering why they are not looking for eggs.
So are there some sort of ongoing log in issues...been trying for hours without luck to get in...firefox, internet explorer, logging on through facebook nothing is working. For some time now its taken a considerable time to log in and freezes requiring a relog have riddled the game for ages but this morning just simply no log in at all.

For the past two days I haven't been able to get in using Chrome (my usual browser). I've been trying to log on since 8am this morning after clearing the cache and rebooting my laptop but the bar is still stuck about a third of the way along. I managed to get in using Edge last night but it kept lagging and hanging to the extent that I couldn't even collect loot/delete mail. Just what I want (but expect) right before an event.
Just to add to the hilarious situation.... I've spent the past hour trying to log in via chrome, edge, everything got stuck... Eventually, after an hour, I logged in successfully... had a chat with a few people in the guild... went to another island and BOOM... connection has been lost, with the box telling me to please log out and back in.... grrrr....

This morning, in my house, where I stay at weekends etc - Internet Explorer: 30-40 mins before getting in.
Now this afternoon/evening at my apartment: first tried for 3 hours using MS Edge, then well over 1 hour using Chrome: NOT getting in.
It stops at the picture of the girl in the bunny costume, the progress bar stops just to the right of her.
Tried multiple refreshes, clearing cache, checking all drivers (up to date!) - nothing is working. Getting VERY frustrated now!
Ok, after 6+ hours, I finally managed to get in. First, the graphics were a bit messed up and only some stuff worked, ie sending out explorers/geologists. Had to refresh, and luckily that only took a few seconds. If this is going to happen daily, I guess I'm done with this game tomorrow...
Trying to load the game, takes about half an hour, bar stops at 40%. That started about a week ago. This is frustrating even more since I know I am not the only one and still there is no response from anyone in BB.

Logging in game is very slow.
I tried with cleaning cache, history and replacing browser, but isn't helped it.
First loading line easily, but second very hardly.
Second line load is stop in middle and for log in game need between 10, 15 and 30 minutes.
Please, you solve this problem and work off that game hotfix.
and again can not log in 1.5 hours this morning, at home on wi-fi different computer, different internet supplier and still having trouble.
Not able to get in at all tonight.
Sometimes I get past the 40% barrier, meaning the point where the progress bar ALWAYS stops progressing for a VERY long time. But then the screen turns white with a large "!" in a circle in the middle of the screen. Which means I have to refresh, then stare at the frozen progress bar again and again…
This has been an on/off issue for several years, though not as bad earlier as now, at least for me. And it's still not getting fixed! Not impressed at all, BB!
Looks like I'm forced to lose out on this years' Easter event, can't participate if I can't get in... I can't believe I actually spent money on this rubbish! Well, no more, that's for sure!

I am on prime, I have struggled the whole morning to log in unsuccessful. Please fix this Fxxx problem. It is not my browser, cache or computer as I tried on 2 different ones. Im really upset at this moment.
Are you going to give us more time to do this Easter event? Can't send explorers, can't do addy's if we can't log in.

Latest version of beta microsoft edge ( chromium based) and latest firefox 66.0.3 (32 bit ) both now logging in in less than 30 minutes , chrome is toast for me , 2 1/2 hours last time
Finally got loaded at just before 13h00, after struggling whole morning, just got booted again while busy with TR. Now 3 more members have to wait for me or kick me out of TR.
This is not fun anymore. I am on Prime. Lost 14 hours of prime already. FIX IT!!!!
I never have a problem with Big farm, or any other game I Played. This is ridiculous.
Are we playing on your server? Why do we need to download at least 350 mb data when we open The game? Everytime I reload cost me at least 250 mb data. One of the files don't download that is why we struggle.
Of course they won't do that. This issue has been going on for several years, though it doesn't affect everyone. To my knowledge, they've NEVER done any form of prolonging of events or compensation for people affected.Quote:

Every morning after the first login and play when I try to reenter /in a newly opened browser - Chrome on Win 7 Pro 32-bit/ I get stuck on the screen with that lady in a rabbit suit. Leaving it "to load" does not help. I guess it is because this "pretty page with progress bar" is lying to the browser that the content is loaded and it can stop loading it when I change to another tab or minimize the browser window - this is the typical behaviour of browsers now - with these plenty of adds everywhere. So please remove the unnecessary page so it does not stop the loading process.

I tested it for few days, so here is my workaround to log in with Google Chrome.
After you login on TSO main page, you should right-click on window bar above. The right-click pop-up menu will give you option to open "task manager". Open task manager and let it be. Start TSO and let the loading window to load to the dreaded 40% length. Give it 10 min. If game didn't start by then, just click in task manager "Plugin: Shockwave Flash" and "end process". Google Chrome will report "flash plugin crashed". Just click there in this page "reload" button and give it another 10 min. Usually on 2nd and sometimes on 3rd attempt the login into server will work.

Was at a friends house on Thursday with my friends laptop. As far as I know they dont play settlers. I tried logging in using chrome,- had to install flash first. I only got as far as the Easter event picture, the green bar never got over half done. Tried Edge - same thing. Installed Firefox,- same thing.
Got on-line pretty fast then with my own Ipad with puffin. Put a remark on chat at got a suggestion from kit trying with and without a tab with facebook open. Did that and got on pretty fast with a face book open and reloading. Have no clue why it worked but it did.
It was a new Firefox installation and a new flash installation, have no clue what the labtop was - other than it was a 64 bit.
