Compare= Ch Vargus x Boris

Dear Settlers
Many comments have been posted about Ch Vargus e.g.= link= forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/35164-Vargus-skills

And actual a new Generals is in offer during 2019 Eastern event = Boris

Would BORIS give better result as a general - more special as 1st attack/wave general ?
Hope some settlers did test BORIS ?? There a tons of eggs needed to acquire all fine objects in the Eastern 2019 Shop -
would Boris be your 1st target ?

I went for princess first as she can help get eggs aswell
then will decide what to get next but my logic thinking is more fattys the better to get more eggs and other event stuff in events then the generals after if you can
i havent tested him tho so dunno how he compares to mma etc

I think he is worth it, but really, if you know how to use a combat sim you can test him out yourself with how you prefer him skilled to see if it's worth it for you - which, in the end, is really the only opinion that matters. :)

I have found him pretty good using a sim he seems to come on top on all sims i do compared to others at mo i am using him as a second vargus on Horseback

Just started and already = I am satisfied with the mutual content of this thread ( Hope many more comments will be added) - it did bring me more ideas to get my game improved++.

well, he was the first one i bought, but then, i do not yet have the other champs (and boris is the 4th champ)

Vargus and Boris simply do not compare, they may look similar with troopcount and damage, but vargus is a multi combat round gen, with not being able to be flanked and 5% damage reduction, he can put real tanks up front and do the damage behind them.

Boris is a quick combat damage dealer, overrunning a camp in one round, 2 at most and as such a lot better comparable to nus.

with furious charge, he does the most first strike damage bar none (lots more than a full cav MG for simple units) and still more for elite FS units.
he also only takes half damage from enemy swift units, making him often a better tank than anshelm against those and to top it off, he gives 50% bonus XP

everyone who does not get him with the event is going to regret it

So how are you/will you/would you skill Boris?

I did:
3x First aid 2x juggernaut
3x hostile takeover 3x nav crash course
3x furious charge 3x xp
3x annex
bounty hunter

but taking planning is a good option as well

hostile takeover and bountyhunter capitalize on his bonus xp if he did not have that, i would have taken planner

My skills for Boris
3x First Aid, 3x Jog (he's used a lot, so lots of walking)
2x Navigation and Overrun-2 (yes, some Boss camps are a good target for Boris)
3x Charge, 3x Fast Learner (both quite essential combined with his special skills, unless you're at/close to lvl 75, then no need for FL)
and Frenzy-1
3x Annex
1x Master Planner

Well, I took frenzy to use Boris vs. Steersmen camps, but if your Mary has both Overrun-3 and some books in Frenzy, she's a better choice there.
Frenzy may also be useful in some MCC camps (possibly with more than 1 book as well), but I avoid MCC for now :)
Navigation: because my main gens all have Navi-2, so just to keep it simple

my skills for boris are
2x First aid 2x jog
3x Overun, 2x hostile takeover
3x unstoppable charge 2x xp 2x Battle Frenzy
3x Garrion annex
1x master planner
