You forgot to mention that we can have some of them from the last foosball event !
I was very surprise to have almost 1k spring in my provision house :)

This bug will certainly be fix soon.... Because it give an advantage to the player....

Unlike all the annoying bugs that give no advantages.... Thoses one will never be fixed.

Those who got some collectibles, found themselves with extremely common items. Not "rare(r)" items.

After just a fortnight of playing advs upon advs, we are all loaded with event's collectibles and even those who cannot/do not play daily can rely on guildies for a quick collectibles trade.
Whether you're on premium constantly or activate a 1-day token, you can plan ahead, make the football matches buffs and play them one after the other on the very last day of the event if you want to. Nowhere does it say you have to play them as soon as the subquest shows up in your book, thus there's no advantage whatsoever.

I would hope BB does overlook this minor blip as there are, as you rightfully mentioned, more important bugs to be sorted first such as the Observatory for QM's.

Why do you need a confirmation because it was clearly a bug to have the resources and change log was correct. It only affected limited number of players. Also why before the end of event? you can no longer do anything with those resources .

You know, nobody forces you to play this game but if you choose to play it, then accept its limitations instead of making a fuss about nothing every single time!

You already had the confirmation from BB, as you said yourself, that it was a bug so why oh why did you need a second confirmation? This first one, unless corrected by BB, stood and still stands.
It was a bug, a very minor bug, which gave absolutely no advantage to those affected as everyone, you included, ended up with thousands of unnused event collectibles.

Take a deep breath, go outside while the sun is shining and relax dude! You're stressing yourself about non-life threatening details here...
