week to early in my opinion , 4 days prep for an event is hardly ideal, but hey we always pay the price for poor planning and lack of communication .
It is xmas event, 95% is explorers and the questlines have only a few adventures that are not scenarios- so not much preparation needed except sending out the explorers on time in the weekend )
as long as we have people who defend BB's poor performance planning and communicatin they will continue to deliver poor service. a very poor and insincere sorry from them for the poor comms this morning simply not good enough. Apreciate everyone has own opinions, the above are mine and are not intented to cause any offence.
I think you are completely misinterpreting my post. I am by no means defending BB's performance nor communication skills.
The only thing i commented on is the statement that 4 days to prepare for an event is hardly ideal. This statement doesn't really reflect the realities of the x-mas event. All other events are mainly based on adventures and hence it is important to collect the right adventures to take advantage of the bonusses and/or to recruit the right troops for the adventures which might mean killing off other troops in the weeks before the start of the event.
The only event for which this isn;t true is this one. Xmas event is by far the easiest event to prepare for- you just need all explorers to go on the right searches and landing after event start. The only explorers that are impacted by this announcement are the ones with more than 3 days travel time- like the scary explorer. So a short preparation time doesnt impact the players as much as on other events.
Also, running the event and queslines usually takes a lot less time than other events, once again due to the low importance of adventures in the event.
The whole thing is a bit of a mess- more so than other events this year but luckily the impact on players is less than some of the mess on previous events - so lets hope for the best and no new bugs in the event (seeing it is a carbon copy of last years event with some new items in the shop to spice it up :p)
how does qualan know so much about the event? i haven't seen any info from bb. did i miss a post?

Tried event on test and there outdoor building didnt behave as it should, upgrade didnt unluck extra buff nor did it understand that two buildings where built.
No more empty tooltip, so this rectangle is not the outline of a tooltip.

I can let it disappear if I mouse-over a general, I then get a box with contents. Witch even does vanish after a few moments.
But if I do nothing this empty box will stay forever.
Even a box filled with information can pop up, this one gives information about a jolly geologist but it is in reality the info box of the Younger Gemini General right behind it.

This is also a never disappearing tooltip. Unless of-course you hold your mouse over a Younger Gemini General then the information that goes with the general is visible.

And shortly after this happens, the tooltip will finally go away.

Ye can't argue with that lol... Just goes back to the lack of communication thing. If our guild is any indicator then new players are arriving in game now. would be helpful for them if BB did their usual post. I presume there is a reason why this hasn't happened, it's not usual tbf.
event starts 12th, i guess a post with event info will go up on the 13th!.. watch this space

my bet is today 5 mins b4 they turn out the lights - but seems they broke the mold with this event so maybe also on dev diary :P
the tooltips in the event calendar are messy, please do a quick fix ;)
if a building is in zZz mode, why is it moving - e.g. mines, weapon smithes, improved buildings and alot of others, mostly (if not all) form the 4th building menu tab
the building itself is animated, like if it is set to produce. Worker is coming out hammering stuff, the selmeter pot is moving, miners are coming out, powderhut is moving.
Firstly, I'd like to thank the Owners and Developers for this fun game, and all the hard work I know you put into it. It's easy to miss realizing and appreciating those kinds of things in life. We are all at fault for doing that to some degree or another. I want to make sure that I do not come off as someone who forgets his manners and doesn't take you into consideration.
That being said, I think I speak for the majority of players in this game that you need to do something about the chat window and its frequent unintended focus flipping. I think it would be a VERY appreciated feature if you would put a User Customizable Locking Setting on it so we can keep the focus of our preferred chat window. A simple tickable control checkbox around the chat window would suffice, or you could make it a more customized selection of settings incorporating multiple chat controls in this area. There is nothing more embarrassing, and indeed, disruptive to our communication and needed dialog sessions than someone or something interfering with it such that it does not go to its intended audience.
Also, if you deem it worthy, it would be nice if the chat window was resizable, and with font controls. It might even be nice if we could setup user names to show differently to us, so as to improve our focus of people we are trying to hear in the crowd. Oftentimes it can be difficult to have a conversation with someone when many are speaking and causing scrolling of the chat. I know you have the 1:1 feature, but that is more for privacy than focus. Sometimes we want the group or room to hear, but still have a need for easier focus on the person we are talking to.
Anyway, those are some thoughts from me, and I'd like it if you did take it serious.

Oh, and also, can we do something about being able to move the Storage facilities? I know you have made it so that one is needed to initiate the colonization of new areas on the map, and that is fine, but can you make it so we can move that one AFTER we build another in the same area?

We have many plans for improvements, but before we start introducing them, we need to make sure the game works the way we and you (the players) want it to work. This includes fixing the remaining issues/bugs on which we are currently working on.
