Longboat Storehouse disappeared (no warning or information given whatsoever)

Prima facie, I do not consider this as a bug but a choice made by the developers to make this long awaited reward (at least by me) a temporary "special" building.

I just intended to change it's position as I was purchasing more of them from the TO, the original building disappeared.

However, BB or their Moderators can surely claim this incident as a bug and please do return my longboat storehouse which I rightfully earned.

In any case, I consider it highly unprofessional that such a critical information was hidden or held back from the players for whatever reasons.

I really think you are barking up the wrong tree there- There is nothing to gain and much to lose from doing this kind of thing deliberately- You canbelieve whatever you want but odds are that you are dead wrong there

There is a perfectly good -individual- process in place to deal with these matters, it is called logging a ticket with support. I suggest using it, if you want a better chance to get the item refunded

Priceless really-
1) It is not really critical, just annoying-if it was really game critical, there would have been an emergency maintenance already
2) I bet it wasn't hidden, the point of bugs is that most times the company doesn't know they exists or find out they exists at too late a point to change anything about it in a right old hurry
3) The main reason bugs aren't announced, is because they get found out after the fact- there are countless examples of this from all major software companies- You can label them all as unprofessional all you want, but that doesn't make it so

So be angry but don't then lash out with unfounded comments/remarks and accusations and try using the processes in place to fix it

But I have a problem now, my Viking settlers started to gather with pitchforks and torches, yelling: ''Hail King Qua Lan!'' :eek:

Lost my boat... knocked it down playing with farms and it didnt go back to my star!

When you click on a building you will always see a picture and a description on the top.
If the picture of the building has a star-ish background then the building will return to the star-menu when demolished.

The building you referred to was not a calendar reward - Buildings come in different categories with their own limits etc- If they made a new database item with the same characteristics, and they forget to mark it correctly as a star menu item, this is the result

So programming error

Not some deep dark conspiracy at BB to make life miserable for players

and yet again that word "Critical" Really get over yourself- this is an annoying irritating lamentable bug, but by no means a critical bug

It impacts a gift from the calendar - a decent gift unlike some others-

Chances are they will fix it as they fixed similar issues in the past Those that got hot will have to hope support will fix it, others can take this into account and avoid it

IF it were up to me, I'd put your ticket at the bottom of the pile.

You did what u had to do- submit a ticket- smart move as that is the most likely path to a solution

Then u came here to throw a tantrum and exagerate and got called out for it (and pointed out the way to try to solve it- which you already knew before going onto the forum to complain)

it is actually a different item

They have items that can be bought by different types of currencies (coin/gems/guildcoin eventcurrency)

Each different item tyoe has different limits on it- so even when all characteristics are the same, it is still a different item in the database

Obviously they forgot to set the flag for return to star menu when destucted - it has happened before

can they improve the process, undoubtetly they can- will they, most likely not- the game is old and old games do not get the big development budgets usually )

if it is longboat, its longboat and doesn't matter where you get it from, MUST NOT have different code, just because its from calendar, or pack or whatever. It is SAME item and it MUST have same code. If its different item, should have different name, graphics, etc.

What of a coding is that, same item, behaves differently based on how you obtained it????

I had the same issue just now, I did not know that it does not return to the star menu after demolishing.

The usual applies- if you have issue and need refunding etc- submit ticket unless BB stated that there will be a universal fix in the making

second- don't expect a quick or satisfactory resolution, if it happens, thats a bonus

ah unilaterally closed

closed means no new actions will spontaneously come

so no individual resolution unless they start resolving it and u submit new ticket with proof

the other route- a blanket fix- is equally as iffy and is usually dependent how much "noise" comes from the extended playerbase across all servers

I'd say: be patient and wait for an official response from a BB spokesperson and hope it is favorable ::B::::B::

trawl through the forum and u will find countless similar cases/issues -

The ticket closed is a well known action, you don;t have to believe me which u obviously don't - which is fine - But if you want/need to be angry, point it at the party that caused the issue in the first place. And/or keep on waiting - i sincerely hope it gets resolved, plenty of people i know had similar troubles with the same item

my advice to them has been the same as it was here- which is based on experiences over the years with similar issues
