Thanks for the update.
I won't ask about the recent connection issues in this post but just know that many of us are still wondering whether it will be addressed in any meaningful way.
So, in response to the Mayor's update...
I like the Starfall content on the whole but the amount of XP means players are levelling up rapidly and I see you are not planning to increase levels in the near future.
In my opinion this is going to take away much of the purpose of the main features of the game. Without XP as a goal there is less reason to do adventures which means you don't need to keep making as many troops and you don't need as many resources, so the economy as a whole is affected. Fewer adventures also means less need for interactions with other players (coop adventures for example). The whole motivation for playing is affected.
Levelling up previously gave a feeling of achievement which has been lacking since starfall was introduced.
While at times it may have seemed TOO tedious to keep grinding away at addies to reach the higher levels, the balance has gone too far in the other direction.
There must be a sweet spot to keep players engaged, and I think you're missing it.
It all looks like good news. I do feel like extra adventures are not going to provide much extra content though, personally I get bored after doing the same adventure a few times.
I can understand not wanting to increase the island size, the game runs slow enough as it is and since the client change nerfed how far you can zoom out its a bit annoying to move around a fully unlocked island.
I liked the way anno online worked in regards to increasing space. You would use islands similar to the pvp ones with a shipping system for transferring goods, the hardware requirements wouldn't increase but you could gain a lot more space with multiple islands. It felt like the game was heading in this direction in one of the previous test updates where there was a quest line where you had to keep visiting a new island, but it got removed instead.
FIX Starfall quest "Residue Processing" on which PEOPLE stuck FROM starfall release (AAAAaa). Players have 849 items, and not able to progress due we missing 1 item to craft "1 basic Compendium of starfall", we cant reset, we cant start again and we cant get that 1 item missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAA anybody can hear US??? more than 6 months stuck on THIS!!!!
Everything apart this "Beginning of this year we successfully released the new "Starfall" quest" seems cool and interesting.
i think you must make a island where you cant build , only too put your gens on it ,,,all
Why bother with new content when the old one is still full of bugs and every update seems to revive some of the old barely removed problems?
I for example cannot use trade because when clicking on a players avatar, the menu is offscreen after the first three menu points. That bug has long been gone and now returned, rendering the game hard to play and making in-guild transactions difficult. Please focus on getting things right, instead of adding more (buggy) new code!
Retriving Starfall quests resources.
We have some products for Starfall quest in our Star that we can no longer use because Starfall asks for new ones or we ran out of time.
We might need the resources used to produce them, please allow us to recycle them back to the resources used even if there is a small penalty.
make the game work without lag maybe ?
I would like to see the default amount changed from one to "max" when transfering goods from Star to Mayors House
I am amused with the phrase "We're genuinely pleased with the outcome" related to Starfall. I would consider it crap and fail. First for the insane amount of XP it gives so literally spoils the game, as commented above - just fast leveling up into levels with no content. Massively overpowered. Second that if you want to play it for skins, which was the only reason I played that, the drop chance is so minuscule, that it makes no sense along these lines either. Third, the actual game-play of Starfall is boring, to simplistic and repetitive, and without option for proper buffed shards production it again feeds into meaninglessness of the feature for skins, given how much effort it takes to gather enough to get nothing. I stopped playing it long ago. I'd be happy to get back to it if it was modified and there was real chance for skins and some other skins were added also.
Someone mentioned old planned and then dropped long-term quest-chain with new adventures etc. Something like that might enliven the game, but probably not for long.
New land - new islands to discover/conquer, shipping mechanics that involves boats and trading with those new lands ............. just something new somewhere, where you can travel to and have fun there different then in adventure, more permanent colony where you can actually build something, not like colonies we have which grew old pretty fast.
As to new levels, I fully agree that they make no sense without proper content in them.
Yep we've reported that several people are stuck on this quest and no progress has been made for 6 months. How about bug fixes first and then expanding the content?
Also with the lack of communication around the network issues last weekend, and then right after a gem sale you're not exactly building trust. It feels like you're letting the game die if these issues are not addressed properly.
The possibility to select multiple specialists in The Star menu and sending all of them out on the same task would make a difference. Currently you can send only one explorer at the time.
A compition between guilds is nice idea but will also mean that players will move to other guilds. The guild of which I am a members since I started has 45 members of who 2-3 are still active.

My game still stuck at 90% stuck on loading screen and i want this fixed to be to play this game since we moved to Unity the new game engine...

Too many players miss the point of this never-ending game by feeling the need to rush through the levels in hurry rather than enjoy the relaxing nature of economy and conquest and questing.
# New Adventures are always great for a change.
# New production chains will be quite hard or too hard for many players cos of lack of spare land zones. Most players are setup to the max and try to squeeze in the new exciting buildings intro-ed during events. New blank islands would be really welcome by all. Can they not be added left and right of lowest island.
What would be good,
would be to have a noticeboard or mail folder added the Guild tabs. This can have info, tips, help posted for (new) guild members to read.

Games are a form of entertainment, theres hardly anything entertaining in reaching the ceiling of your economic development and spending the next few years watching animations of your buildings as they produce millions of resources you'll never use.
People, especially in this day and age, expect active gameplay and challenge (which is one of the main reasons why multiplayer games have been on a rise for the past 2 decades). Watching windmills turn or clicking 'OK' button to complete a quest that required you to passively produce resources while you were offline isnt that, in fact its opposite of that, thats why alot of people either quit or expect the game to be developed in the direction providing more interactive content.

also to anyone complaining about Starfall imbalance, dont you date putting ideas in their heads to nerf it, at least until im done using the free XP to reach 80 :D
This dev blog has been as believable as Boeing's report to its's shareholders about how successful the company has been this year. What it does reveal is details about the company's internals that no company in it's right mind would want to get out to the public and it's competitors.
Starfall is useless and should be DELETED, the latest updates were not requested and again fall very short of what the game needs.
You state the game is Stable and yet it went down for 3 days last weekend and you BB_Saqui were MIA (Missing in Action). No apologies, no explanations and no compensation for those who lost event windows when game was inaccessible.
If your role is Community Manager you are failing as you have not spoken to the TSO community and seem to of hidden away behind another meaningless update. People have real issues which need sorting before you roll out updates which nobody has asked for.
You should post in Game Chat as BB_Traffer used to do even if you have no answers, hiding away you look like a coward.
Starfall should be deleted and BB should go back to the drawing board. Ask the community they will give plenty of ways to develop the game

Ever since the debacle at the end of Flash, BB has not engaged with the players in any meaningful way.
The roll out crap like the Dev BLog, like some politician spouting their lies.
I have never played a game where the developers / staff treat their players with such utter contempt - events like the last server failure go to reinforce that view.
I play this game because, actually, it's a great game, and I love it and has a great community - although the community has dwindled due to end of Flash mismanagement and the continued incompetence - it's spoiled because it's run by clowns and fools and that makes me sad.
And yes, Starfall is a crock of sh1t, I would like nothing more than to blow that stupid thing out of the sky over my land.
Before making statements of how a success it is, why don't you actually poll the players to find out what they think?
Oh yes, it's because you don't give a damn.
Maybe they will find the reset button in around 1½ year from now - 2 years is how long it took for them to give people like me who lost ghost ship and ghost ship related weekly quest to reset it so we could have it back - we did not get 104 times the number of lanterns we have back in reward chests.

We need more building space or islands
Answer: Currently we are not intending to increase the size of the player island(s), however, with the above mentioned new endgame content, we are exploring new opportunities here was well.

I have one idea for a new building, what will give space on the island for some other building. This building named General Quarter Garrison which u can upgrade like
your Barracks has then space for your generals, as this nice guys at the moment use building space for stay on the island the sice maybe same like the big wood yard
building and give then space at level 7 for 70 generals and u can have 2 of these buildings so u generate a lot of space to build other houses or work yards.

Great to hear about the updates coming and especially about the specialists that we'll get to send out in batches, cause I'm done with all the tedious clicking.
Personally, I like the fact that Starfall quests are there and give a lot of XP, because I also got tired of playing the same adventures over and over again (and therefore, I had pretty much stopped leveling up). It would be better to have them last a week, though, so players who have a busy life also get to reap the rewards.
As to everyone complaining about bugs: I'm sorry that you're experiencing all that, but for me, the game runs smoothly and has done so for quite a while, so I guess that experience varies per player.
My game won't load.Just stucks at 90% loading page since unity came out.Please help me play this game again...
Check out https://settlersonlinewiki.eu/ for some possible tips and solutions and/or the forum how to get browsers to "betetr behave" with unity - but my advice would still be to check out what's on the wiki in your case
what realy would help is that obs, scoutingposts, oil refineries, adv. bookbingers, snackstands, oil mills, labs, spring-parks, concert halls and footi-pitches get the blueprint upgrate like epic forge so you have 1 building - and than upgrade them by adding a blueprint.
so esenticial all buildings that increases production speed through the amount of buildings that are on the island
I would be great to have the "send" window of Generals to Adventure to be sorted in to like Generals.
e.g. all cloak generals, then all MMA, then all YGG etc.

Nice wish- but space is a very deliberate part of the game, or "lack of space" scarcity of space.
This forces you to make decisions and make consessions or find different routes - Having more than enough space will in the end be more harmful for the game experience as there is no need to chose and hence youc an just mindlessley continue to fill your lands with all you get
In all reality- we do not need more islands/space at this moment - as you can overcome the lack of space with different measures
1) Replace buildings with better versions
2) Upgrade buildings
3) Use more water spaces and "non building slot spaces- so get as many water residences, upgrade em and get as many storage towers and upgrade em
Decide how big a population you really need- Youc an get this through fully upgraded wonderous residences (which can be done over time if you need to collect resources) and storage
decide which production lines you really need/want and which ones you need/want less of
Use epic buildings to make other buildings/production chains less needed and hence you can destroy buildings and make space for the new ones
Does it work- yes. Does it take time, yes
Why do i say that:
1) I have all producton chains on my island, with buffing i am basically self sufficient in everything
2) I have 155+ of these "special buildings": on my island, so buildings that need extra buildings to speed up cooldown timers or speed buff the production
3) I have more than enough storage space on my island,too much considering the star menu option for overflow of items
4) I have free building slots on my island
5) I can easily free up another 100 slots by destroing population buildings as i have enough on wonderous and water based population to meet my needs
Was this easy- of course not, but then again it isnt supposed to be easy - It isn;t hard either, all it takes is focus and time, especially on events to max out the items you need to be able to do this (which is get storage towers, water based population buildings to be able to free up land based building slots
Would i like more land- sure- it makes life easier and i can have quicker productions/easier producion chains for some stuff without all the buffing etc but the point is, we do not really need it - we have plenty of land and plenty of options to use it much better than most people do

I never see my generals. They live in starmenu. So yeah an update to make cats bigger..... ;)
