Rather than just a progress bar, it could have:
1) Progress percentage with a decimal so you can see if its completely stopped
2) name of file being loaded, eg 1234567dfghjuyhagbdfiukysbaf.dat
3) download rate, time spent downloading and progress percentage for currently loading file
All this info would make it much easier to debug long loading issues for people who can't use the chrome development tools.
