I'd be happy if the thing were just in some sort of logical sequence.
Such as:
Buffs in alphabetic order, with the lowest count first so we can clear out odd ones without hunting for 10 minutes;
Adventures in alphabetic order would be good too - the sequence at the moment has no logic:
Horseback - Wild Mary - Arctic Explosion - Tropical Sun - Outlaws (I missed some out, but that sequence is what I have)

If it's not possible or reasonable to change the code so that we could control the order and the stacks, at least group by type and then alphabetical would be helpful. Same goes for generals (instead of order acquired within type).

How about a tab in the star menu for our "favourites", for which we can create rules for which items appearing there from the other tabs?

I would be wary of asking for too much re the star menu, after all it would be very easy for BB to make it no longer able to store excess resources so we didn't have to search through all that 'clutter'.
