Assassin/potion, Rain of Arrows/ranged support and catapults
Does anyone know how these perform against completion of achievements in adventures?
For instance if I were to use a catapult or assassin would they count as having used ranged support?

They don't count, so you can use them as you like. The achievement requiring "no ranged units" refers to bows/longbows/xbows/cannons.
