I'm not exactly sure, but I believe when they introduced the new adventures a few months back that Old Friends was bumped to a Level 36 requirement. I know a few others were changed.

This has happened to me a number of times recently. I thought they had fixed this bug but obviously something has caused it to reappear.

So no one else is having lag problems?

I had a similar problem. My friend invited me, and although the quest showed up in my quest log after refreshing, I cannot see the little adventure window that typically appears.
