This just happened to me too!!! I was playing last night and logged out going to bed, had a row of big red X when I logged in tonight. Lost connection and when I re-logged it gave me a day 1 bonus....

You need to claim a new sector or buy them for gems in the shop, you can't trade them.

I'm getting the same message as TweakNTwist right now. Was (amazingly) able to 'login' first time, but when I hit 'Play Now' blue button I get that Connection failed message.

You do know if you're on an adventure, you can find your general by clicking on them in the Star menu? Just to save you running around looking for them...

Same issue for me too, also IE. Just spent nearly an hour trying to login. Clearing cache and reboot didn't help! :(

Also give the rest of us an 'easy' way to complete the adventure guild quests when time/troops are short. The anniversary event maps were great for that!
