Anyone got any info on the "starter pack" deal? Currently AU$15 for 3500 gems. Does that get influenced by sales? or is it a separate one off type deal?

Did I just miss a gem sale? I am sure I saw something somewhere a day or two ago about a 100% bonus to any gems purchased. I am only fairly new to the game and wasn't quite ready to delve into that...
