I believe you should start by renaming the event to summer event or whatever. The time has passed for a midsummer event if it starts after midsummer. Midsummer is around summer solstice.
Dont know if there is an English word for summer in July, in DK we call it high summer, but summer event would do.

Fanfas I suggest you check midsummer event with google and what is it in most of Europe. Maybe UK does not have anything for it but a lot of other countries do, even Germany so it's weird that they picked that name or maybe they just failed delivering it earlier again.

Should have named it just as summer shop weeks.

This is like starting xmas event of 1st of January. They would not call it Xmas then I am sure. Maybe new-years event, but not xmas. Midsummer is around the 21 of june - so one week before or at the 21 then you can call it midsummer, but not when we have passed midsummer.
