If you are not on your island when your geologist returns you do not get any information at all if he found something, where he found it and so on. Is it possible to get a change so you actually get some information on what they found even if you where on a friends island or on an advemture when he returned?
there was meant to have been a massive overhaul on the mail and news servers a few years back. We have so far had the minimal upgrade on the mail side - though it is massively better than we used to have...
I think BB have it as a work in progress, so keep an eye open i guess
I would like this expanded to be anything that would be in the message window when you are on the island should go into some kind of log that you can see when you come back. I would think mail would be the best vehicle. Since this kind mail should have a duration, it would self-clean over time. The short length of the messages makes me think there wouldn't be a massive impact.

Nice idea. Maybe the geologist messages can be included in the News Window which was mentioned in the Dev Diary back in 2012
