Colony Mode Interfaces

I have seen quite a few people commenting, both on the forums and in game chat, about how they keep clicking on the new Colony Ranking icon by mistake and it has occurred to me that between the avatar and the row of icons across the bottom of the screen we now have three buttons in the main interface to access the various Colony Mode information when we only really need to have one.

Therefore, my suggestion is to do away with the "Rankings" and "Colonies" icons from the bottom of the screen and have the existing button under the avatar open up a colony interface that would look something like this mock up I threw together:



As you can see, the "Rankings" button has instead been incorporated in the existing "PvP Overview" tab and an extra "Colonies" tab would need to be created to allow players to view their colonies instead of interface we currently get by clicking on the globe.

I can barely follow what you are suggesting in that thread SmurfAsH but, other than moving the "Rankings" button, I don't see any particular relevance to what I am suggesting in this thread.

As 'The Settlers Online' team consists 100% of gods who as we all know are infallible this will never happen.

But gods have been known to humor mere humans on occasion. So maybe they could add the functionalities to button under avatar like OP has done in the picture. There will still be the 3 buttons 'cause GODS!!! but humans will also have a efficient and convenient option next to the current holy brainfart trinity.

I support this, not only because of this little survey, but also because I think other windows could profit a lot more from this change, e.g. Quest Book or even Storage.

+1 great idea . I often hit the Rankings button by accident.

Only a minority of players is active in PvP but BB has two symbols in the bottom menu. I often accidentally hit the (PvP)-Ranking and don't understand why it could not be integrated into the Colonies Symbol as a submenu. Do PvP players really look at their rankings daily and get kick out of it but would be unable to find it one menu level below?
