Brother Theodors constant needs - Invasion pending?

I think we have at one time or another noticed how much dear brother Theodor relies on us to help him out...
As a lot of the quests I recently had where on the lines of "Theodor needs x ore/weapons" I could not stop my inner alarm going off.
I am quite sure BB will not have us fight Theodor, however I was wondering if anyone else has been having this or a simmilar feeling?

I coulda sworn at some points he is referred to as cousin Theodor too...

Either way, man is as useless as that tailor I always have to rescue from trouble.
