My trade office keeps showing up blank so I am unable to buy anything. I can make offers (and have them accepted) but I can't see them until they appear in my history. Any ideas?

I really don't know better but by looking at your join date, I would think that you only recently started playing?
In which case your reserves of resources might not be very much (all things considered) so most of the trades wouldn't appear unless you could actually afford them.
Try ticking the "deals I can't afford" option when checking the trade office and of course leave the search option empty.
Perhaps that will resolve the issue you're having?
