Could I have the grid in those pictures when I try to place a building please?
Honestly, I always thought that the small decorations took 1 square, and small buildings took 2x2 squares. Thanks to those pictures, I know I was always wrong.

Those grids are mainly for pathing, not building placement - those yellow grids around buildings are overlapping.
I would still say small decorations take 1 square, and small buildings take 2x2 squares. It depends on how you look at it.
The common player based definition focus on building spots. Not pathing.
BB's definitions are rather confusing as they sometimes call those building spots for building sites.
