How Big is Your Army?

I'm just curious to see the numbers of some of your military units count.

You can get this information by rolling your mouse over the settlers icon at the top of the screen. Says Working Settlers and Military Units.

What's a good size? 6000? 8000? 10,000?

Enough troops to kill all the bandits on the adventure map.

I'm currently at 5000. I have found it sufficient for even DB or SE, with all the smaller adventures causing no reason for worry of hitting the pop cap while training troops for them. I did the Valiant Little Tailor on test with 5700 pop and would say that 5000 is pretty low-bound for the Epic Raids. I'll probably strive to up my cap to 6000 on the live account before pursuing them. Time will tell if the Raids further down the quest line will require an even bigger army at one go. Note that if an adv has losses of eg 4000 recruits, I don't think it's necessary to have all 4000 trained the moment you start. But you should have at least 1000-1500 on one go, so it's possible to progress at a decent pace in the adventure. Kill off the 1000 during the evening, and by morning you'll have the 1000 replaced by new troops from the barracks. 2 or 3 troop resupplies isn't too tedious to do on huge adventures like the Raids.

Unless they let me buy more floating res I don't have space for more than 4k troops, but thats more than enough for me, so I guess a good size is as many as you need to do the job at hand
