Change Vocational Training -> Mastery Main quest

The quest requires to have 11 codices in one geologist. This is impossible to achieve to those of us who already spent more than 20 in manuscripts and tomes (because top level skill kinda sucks). I currently have 10-12-9 setup in my geo and I do not ever plan to level up another one and even if I did, I doubt I would put 11 codices into him.

    There are couple possible solutions

    - allow more than 31 books in one specialist. This is for be the best, but probably wont get past BB design team, there are reasons why the limit is in there, I know.
    - change the quest to use lesser amount of codices (5 for example)
    - make the quest requirement cumulative, so that I could have 5 codices in one geo and 6 is another one
    - change it to something like "put codex into one of the top three skills". This implies player is lvl 50 and geo is maxed, so all former requirements are fulfiled. This is probably best and easiest solution.

Or simply level up another geologist with 11 codices. It's your choice to do the quest or not. If we were to change all quests because some people didn't want to do them, what would be the point of quests at all? Then BB could just hand us every reward right away.
Check out my collection of suggestions to ease up the game. Please do provide me with your feedback in regards of it.

It is not about rewards, those are ridiculously small anyway. It is about not having to do things that I do not want to do and will never use just to finish the quest when there are better alternatives available.

The quest is asking for a lot. The game generally give you the option of where to place books, but this quest takes it away from you (for one specialist anyway).

I suppose another overall option would be if you could hide main quests you didn't care about.
Maybe they would got to the very bottom of your quest book in a section called "Hidden Quests", and that section would always be minimised by default. I was initially thinking about "maybe we should be able to cancel main quests if you really want", but that would end in people upset that they cancelled a pre-requisite, so shouldn't happen.

This must be done. Otherwise I will just keep spamming support until this quest is removed from my book. It's just full of quests I can't progress on at the moment due to level requirements and they've added this one (and most likely the explorer and general will be the same) which force you to waste codex on crap skills you don't want to do. Given the increasing costs of books with each geo you train it's not feasible to waste 11 codex (which is going to be costing 22 tomes, each costing 3 manuscripts), then a further 20 tomes (60 more manuscripts in there) and then another 20 manu. It's ridiculous to say the least. All for a mere 500c and 250 granite. Worth it, it is not. Make the reward a full set of manu/tome/codex and I'll go for it, still reluctantly, but at least I wouldn't be buying 500c and 250 granite for 11 codex, 42 tomes and 80+ manuscripts.

The best solution would be to require just the 1 top level skill so people still have the choice of what to do with their specialists.

The quest basically rewards stupidity and penalizes anyone with the intelligence to use lower grade skills to reach the top-tier.

I use 10 manu, 14 tome, 7 codex on geos... the extra 4 tomes allow me to reach top-tier with reasonable skills and a lot less cost.

Being forced/coerced to use a rather unintelligent setup for geo skills is both an insult to the players and an uncomplimentary reflection on the developers.

yup, and until the remaining 2 skill-treees are introduced, people dont really know what the options are. The books become incredible hard to make, if the other trees come out and are more interesting, people will regret having invested in explorers.

So, instead of pushing people to invest in geo's / explorers, it would be much better if BB would urge people to be carefull. unless they hand out free resets when the new parts are introduced.

I'de say: delete the whole quest, it's a really stupid one. Especially since its a main-quest. It cant be deleted, and in the low levels people are tought to strictly follow the main-quests, or they might find their Island in big trouble. Not exactly smart to introduce a 11-codex mainquest. Ah well, developers.... why ask players what they think if you can just do something stupid instead.

While you're adding idiotic quests, can you put in a main quest to buff 5 friend's wells with stadium snacks and a "have 11 marble deposits" so you have to waste the top level skill please (main quest, no delete)
