I have the same problem with this mission and I sent a request for help, so we'll see tomorrow what will respond?
If you need to do an experience adv, you need to do an adventure with the star symbol. Ignore the descriptions as these seem wrong, as some adv's have been reclassified.
It's epic, not experience adv.
The adventure you have to do is based on your level, so different players have to do resource, experience, or epic
Due to a recategorising error DP and SFRT no longer show as EXP addys
Event Quest The Evildoer - The hiding place ( for experience adventures, mid lvs)
DO Gunpowder, Horseback, Sons Of The Veld, Surprise Attack, The Nords, or Witch Of The Swamp to complete this quest

I did a SFTR adventure earlier which did not complete the quest.
I have the same problem
seriously dont any of you read the other comments you been told why it didnt register yet your still coming here complaining of bug that isnt a bug
