    Titanium Ore

I've just hit lv40 and I'm like to start working on Book Fittings for codex production, but I'm having trouble getting hold of enough Titanium ore, given that the drop rate seems rather low,and it's needed for other things as well, notably crossbows, which I'm trying to build up a decent amount.

What would be my best option/s for getting hold of a steady supply of the stuff?

Doing lots of adventures, and swapping loot spots instead of selling them.

Not losing crossbowmen so that you can keep your xbow production off 99% of the time.

Also thinking twice if you absolutely need to spend books on your specialists on a level where you are having trouble affording them. Most skills are not worth the cost.

Yes very true I am level 66 and I have never had crossbow or book fittings production running all the time. I run them when ever I feel the need and only with a good buff on. Did not even try running them before the building was at least level 4.

Making books takes a lot of time. It is a bit of a wast to try and skill any specialist at your level,- you might skill a few, and by the time you reach level 50 you regret ever having used any books for anything but to do the achievements, because now you have other needs and would prefer to use the skills differently.

I'd love to "do lots of adventures" but I'm severely limited on which adventures I can do at the moment. I'd like to start trying the higher difficulty adv like Nords and such-like but I need crossbows for those and I can't get crossbows without the ore.I have tried buying them in the trade office but they rarely show up,and when they do,they are as expensive as all hell. Also I have no intention of using my codexes immediately, but I would like to stockpile at least some book fittings,as they are slow to produce.

I started out by buying crossbows in trade office. They are a bit expensive to make if you only have building at level 1-2 or 3. Same goes for cannon. You can even wait and build it later. The trick with the crossbow is not to kill them, and only kill bows and recruit.
I do think it would be cheaper to wait making the fittings til you can upgrade the building and then much faster also. Book fittings is not one of the things I run short on, I dont think I ever have, but I often run out of nibs, because when you have made a few tomes - you will need 5 manus to make one, and 3 tomes to make one codex. So you end up needing to make 15 manus to make one codex.

did a nords guide tavern gens and longbows
I did however to save the 478 recs on last camp got someone to kill last leader for me as a free loot spot place
click on picture to zoom in

the quote of the nords guide is from one of my own posts on forum from this Thread i used to do nords daily even with just longbow men and tavern generals yeah it cost more as killed bowmen etc in troops wise but it was how i did it before i got crossbowmen, other guides maybe around for nords with longbow men im not sure, You could always use a combat sim to try find what you can do with the troops you have available on your game this is the sim i use to make my guides with.

but like others i dont run my crossbow maker or book fittings thing as on other server they all low levels so not worth it i did used to do nords and give the lootspot away though if i was short in recruits for last leader and the LS person killed that camp for me

Or if i had enough i would do all adventure and sell the lootspot at going rate on the server to get gold coins to save to buy things in and when i was lower level i would sell my loot such as granite/exo logs salt etc just to get things i needed more in game at that time trade office is a wonderful tool if you use it well in the game to trade in what your needing at the point if you can or if you even just use it to sell loot spots to get gold coins to buy in what you need also maybe

Your getting close to be able to run the sorts of adventures which do drop titanium ore in reasonable quantity's. I would advise using your ore to build up to 256 xbowmen which is good for most adventures then start thinking how many elite soldiers your going to need, 200 is a good start. Once you have those you should have a steady supply of ore coming in and start thinking about ore for codices.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
