    I know, but it could be also stated more clearle as Fasttirker stated...i don't mind the ES loss, loses with failed blocks are vay more expensive :P
    Guide is still very good and i have almost whole BK guide in memory already...
    Not sure about 68E, seems a bit impossible to me But i guess there are always some extremes that never really happen

    Yes, it's mentioned in the end of every guide, but not as elite soldiers... only as soldiers...

    I prefer having it so tight, that in most cases that one soldier survives and actually might save one recruit by taking the last hits in the battle.
    That being said, be prepared to lose the odd soldier(s) after playing the same adventure hundreds or thousands of times...
    The same also applies to elite soldiers, although the risk of losing elite soldiers in my guides generally is a lot lower than losing soldiers.

    The risk (or chance) of losing several elite soldiers is at the same level as being the sole winner in lotto...
    The day you lose several elite soldiers in such a battle, you will have wished that you'd played lotto that day instead.

    They seem to be ok, at least to me...
    Could you please recheck to see if you still cannot see them, even after a forced refresh (Ctrl-F5)?

    The Invasion of the Nords

    Hello, somebody will probably come along with something better.
    I've been doing the following camp setups to do the adventure.
    Done the adventure FIVE times now, without problems.

    For all block-attacks I wait until the marching tune is finished before sending next attack.

    I don't have a map with the 6 Deep Well locations (subquest), but they are not hard to find

    TG: Tavern General
    VG: Veteran General

    The Invasion of the Nords

    Troops Needed: 265M 180S 350ES 495C 250XB
    Losses: 236M 58S – 265M 75S

    Send generals right after each other
    BLOCK C1: 82ES 118C
    BLOCK C2: 22ES 178C

    L1 40 Karl, 160 Valkyre
    ATTACK L1: 1M 1ES 199C 49XB
    Losses: 0 – 1M

    L2 140 Jomsviking, 60 Karl
    ATTACK L2: 53S 1ES 196XB
    Losses: 48S – 53S

    L7 40 Jomsviking, 80 Housecarl, 60 Valkyre, 20 Berserk
    ATTACK L7: 33M 6S 2ES 67C 142XB
    Losses: 33M – 33M 6S

    L3 40 Jomsviking, 120 Housecarl, 40 Valkyre
    ATTACK L3: 50M 2ES 26C 172XB
    Losses: 41M – 50M

    C4 50 Housecarl, 75 Karl
    ATTACK C4: 250XB
    Losses: 0 – 0

    L5 60 Jomsviking, 80 Housecarl, 60 Karl
    ATTACK L5: 53M 1ES 196XB
    Losses: 49M – 53M

    C3 200 Karl
    ATTACK C3: 1ES 249XB
    Losses: 0 – 0

    L6 85 Housecarl, 80 Valkyre, 35 Berserk
    ATTACK L6: 37M 1ES 96C 116XB
    Losses: 29M – 37M

    BLOCK C6: 192ES 8C

    L8 70 Jomsviking, 50 Housecarl, 50 Karl, 30 Berserk
    ATTACK L8: 56M 1ES 193XB
    Losses: 49M – 56M

    The block on C8 is tight, so be sure there is not too much lag in your game.

    BLOCK C7: 197ES 3XB
    BLOCK C8: 102ES (If you do not have enough Elite Soldiers, then this block can also be done with 109S)
    BLOCK C9: 105S 50ES 45C

    L9 60 Jomsviking, 80 Housecarl, 60 Berserk
    ATTACK L9: 35M 16S 1ES 198XB
    Losses: 35M 10S – 35M 16S

    Hi to all
    My position of generals can't match picture from above for attack on camp 4. http://prntscr.com/1q4u73 (Sorry for link posting)
    And my block failed. Maybe it would work if I move gen B a little bit to the left from it's position where he is now, but no time for waiting on recovering of norm gen. will try it in another BK adventure.

    ------------
    Upps, just saw that my post went to bottom, I was referring to BK adventure.

    Thank you for a fine guide. On camp 2 though 1M (or higher lvl soldiers) and 249 XB will (at least according to the battle sim) give losses 0-0-0. No need to sacrifice them at all.

    Based on 1 million simulations:
    When attacking with 1M 249XB there's approximately 0.35% chance of losing 1M and 0.2% chance of losing at least 1 crossbowman.
    When attacking with 2M 248XB thete's approximately 0.4% chance of losing at least 1M and 0.03% chance of losing at least 1 crossbowman.

    That's why some might consider 2M 248XB to be a better alternative.

    Cheers!

    I see. How would those numbers be with 1 elite? And what combat sim do you use?

    Well, with 1 elite you get a chance of losing elite ^_~
    Perhaps 1S 1E 248XB, with 0.2% of losing 1S, 0.005% of losing 1E and 0.002% of losing at least 1XB is a good choice with elites.
    Or go for 2S 248XB, with 0.2% of losing at least 1S and 0.005% of at least 1XB.

    I am using my own simulator, but I think this and this would tell you the same thing.

    Hello,
    I did this setup on BK (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/t...l=1#post235670) with a round block and it worked. Can someone tell me how lucky that was?

    From A to Camp 5) 60 Elite Soldier Deserters, 60 Crossbowman Deserters
    BLOCKING NORMAL general: [1R 6M 1S 190C (-)] {200 - 300 seconds of fighting, 0.1% chance of 180 seconds}

    From B to Camp 6) 50 Cavalry Deserters, 50 Elite Soldier Deserters, 50 Crossbowman Deserters, 1 Sir Robin
    BATTLE HARDENED general or ANY general: [94R (94R)] {10 or 20 seconds of fighting}

    From C to Camp 6) 42-46 Elite Soldier Deserters, 50 Crossbowman Deserters, 1 Sir Robin
    VETERAN general: [125R 25M 100S (93R - 125R 8M - 125R 24M)] {130-160 seconds of fighting}
    VETERAN general: [150R 1S 99E (100R - 138R - 150R 1S 3E)] {130-140 seconds of fighting, small chance of up to 180 seconds}
    VETERAN general: [36R 74M 1S 139E (36R 34M - 36R 61M - 36R 72M)] {120-130 seconds of fighting}

    I did the risky setup even.

    To get the numbers:
    It's 3 flags from the moment the interception zone of camp 5 to the castle + 180s for both fights (20s for ANY + 160s for VET), so around 190s, leaving you a margin of 10s. Should be safe if I am not mistaken.

    From D to Camp L8) 80 Guard Dog, 200 Roughneck, 1 Rivaling tailor
    ANY general: 72R (72R 1G)
    From E to Camp L8) 80 guard dog,200 roughneck,1 rivaling tailor
    VETERAN general: 117R 3E 130K (66R - 77R - 88R)

    It should rather read:
    From D to Camp L8) 80 Guard Dog, 200 Roughneck, 1 Rivaling tailor
    VETERAN general: 250R (250R 1G)
    From E to Camp L8) 80 guard dog,200 roughneck,1 rivaling tailor
    VETERAN general: 117R 3E 130K (66R - 77R - 88R)

    Also, no point in using elites against the Tailor (attacks weakest), so the suggested 2nd wave on the final Leader camp would be:
    30R 60M 160K (30R 46M - 30R 55M - 30R 60M 1K) - it lasts only 3 rounds, and is safer than the 4 rounds fight
