Doubt it will be a 4 weeks event, maybe 13th Dec-3th Jan or 20th dec -10th Jan.
It will be 4 weeks as it always have been.
In the wiki, there are 21 days in the calendar, which means 3 weeks of active event and I'm guessing 1 more week for the removal phase. They usually turn off the event after new years, and it's usually a Tuesday. The first Tuesday of the new year is January 3rd. Counting backwards 3 weeks from that makes December 13th the likely date for the start of the event.

The 4 weeks are 3 weeks when you can get event resources and and 1 week where you only get them through trade or gems. To me that is 4 weeks and imo that is long enough to get what one want, the X-mad event usually have been quite generous with the presents, I don't know how it will be this event hence the usually.
