To get more storage - you need to upgrade your Mayors House or your storehouse.

Upgrading the provisions house will make the provisions house produce provisions faster.

Tip:- if you hover over the upgrade button to each building, it tells you what the upgrade will be.

Does upgrading automatically get possible after a while, or can I do something to find hardwood planks or marble?
I mean: after a while you are able to build the necessary building to find the resources OR can I find the resources earlier in the game in any way?

Coins can be used for buying generals, geologists and explorers at the tavern. They are also needed for upgrading buildings to higher tiers. Players will try and tempt you into using them for trade, but think carefully before you do because they are much harder to come by than marble, hardwood planks, swords etc.

You don't lose your game if you ignore it for a while, but limited resources like mines, wells and fields will eventually run out and your warehouse will become full of the other goods so progress will come to a halt.

If you look at the building lists at the bottom of the screen (basic, intermediate, advanced, expert) you can see at what level each building becomes available. Once you have built a branch office you can try trading for items you cant yet produce and your explorer(s) can sometimes find higher tier items too. On the whole though you can't jump ahead of the standard rate of progress unless you are willing to buy and use plenty of gems.

(Easter) Eggs, (Halloween) Pumpkins and (Christmas) Presents are from seasonal events.
If at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.
