I played Travian before this and Urban Rivals a very good card game cause I can play them anywhere I go if you have a phone and there are lot of players to compete with.

Started with Land of Destiny a few years ago, and then went on a hunt for browser games that didn't involve PvP. Along the way I had a go at being a pacifist in a few of the PvP ones:

Ikariam
Evony
Syrnia
Torpia
These games are the ones I like and will return to even if I'm not playing them all at the moment:

Apart from spending my "free" time here on TSO, i also play Ikariam - have been playing that for 5 years now. Did try the other games like Travian (hated it) and Evony - which i did enjoy but found that you really really really needed a great alliance/guild to get to higher levels to help ward of the big, mean and nasty players that would take resources from you. Hence, why i like TSO so much as you don't need to worry about defending your own town, and can enjoy the game at your own pace.. the only other game i play is DragonVale (but at the moment i have a glitch so not very happy). =(
