I played the game on a macbook pro released last year in a firefox browser with Max OS Lion. The refresh rate of the graphics are slow. I didn't try it with safari.

I agree with you there. I'm also playing on a MacBook Pro with FF, and the graphics do move a lot slower to that of PC.
It's the same in Safari and Chrome as well.
