[Features] Propose new features; list missing features

    [Briefing]
Playing The Settlers Online (TSO) for several time now should give us an idea of what Features, we're missing or like to be added.
I would like to start a list containing:
    - Missing features; features which should be in TSO.
    - New features ; features which will make TSO even better ;-)
    - Great features ; features we like in TSO.

    [Missing features]
MF-001: During technical maintenance i could not login for 1 day, missing the daily reward.
Proposal: Extend the time-frame of the game, so that the player can still receive her/his daily reward.
Note: I'm logging on 3-times a day to also send my Explorer in search for treasure. Still i missed the daily reward, quite annoying ^^

MF-002: During technical maintenance i could not login for 1 day, so i could not put my mines on hold, depleting 3 copper mines and 1 stone mine entirely. This means i can never replenish these natural resources with gems.
Proposal: Automatically put all buildings on hold (e.g. mines, fisherman) with just 1 natural resource remaining, players should decide what they want to do with them.
Proposal: Players should be able to block a natural resource from being used up; i'm talking about the natural resource (e.g. mines content, fishes) itself, not the buildings to extract them. For example: Typically there is only one fisherman to extract fishes from 3 natural resources, a player should be able to block 1 or 2 resources from being used up (hint: used 'prohibit'-street-sign).

    [New features]
NW-001: Proposal for a new Architect building, which allows players to convert surplus resources to desired resources. Of course not 1:1, but for example 5(surplus):1(desired), or 10:1.
Note: This allows players to proceed with the game (without restart), even if they made a mistake and/or are missing necessary resources.

NW-002: Proposal for a new Architect building, which allows players to plan Geologist and Explorer missions in advance; max 3 days, 24x7.

NW-003: Proposal for a new Architect building, which allows players to train their Geologists, Explorers and Generals; max twice as fast.
Proposal for Black market upgrade of Geologist, Explorer and General to max three times as fast.

NW-004: Proposal for another Game-mode, which allows players to choose between the current (slow) epic game-mode, and a new faster game-mode. This will provide a larger support from the gaming-community.

    [Great features]
GR-001: The Chat-box is already a great way to communicate with other players.
GR-002: The Architect building 'Branch Office Deed' is a nice addition to interact with other players (resource trading).

    Hi MissZero,

    Regarding 'Missing Features':
MF-001: This has been resolved afterwards, so should not be necessary ^^
MF-002: I like your idea to block a natural resource from being used up. Awesome idea! TSO-programmers should be able to do this ;-)

So far I am liking all these new feature suggestions. Especially NW-001.

Possible oversight on the Gems/Trader section

    under 'Trader'
When you compare the resources received per gem on 'Resources' against what you get on 'Wholesale', the rate is the same.
    i.e.
    65 Gems = 100 Pine Wood Planks
    325 Gems = 500 Pine Wood Planks

    75 Gems = 100 Stone
    375 Gems = 500 Stone

    55 Gems = 100 Tools
    275 = 500 Tools

    5x the Gems = 5x the Resource

If they want to encourage to but gems once the gaem is out of Beta, then the rate of resources received via the Wholesaler should be greater.

    eg
    325 Gems = 550 Pine Wood Planks
    5x Gems = 5.5x Pine Wood Planks

    Gems vs. resources
    Think Vernofski is right.
The gems prices of (natural) resources are too steep at the moment.

    Architectur buildings
The game should have Architectural buildings with:
    a) Medium features.
which can be bough with game-coins.

    b) High-end features.
which can be bought with gems.

    c) Insane features.
which require an insane amount of gems, so you have to buy them....hmmm

I agree with you there, another thread asked what can you do with coins? the only item in the trader menu that can be bought with coins is a counterfeit guild membership.

    Hello.
If u have a lot of buildings, it's hard to know the exact number of them
It would be nice to be able to see the total amount and each of it :

    Total Buildings : 55
    Farms : 5
    Copper mine : 8

    etc

The architect building here sounds a lot like my own idea for a Research Building, I especially like Menla's idea to allow levels of features that can or cannot be bought with gems.
