    Experience for army

Seem to spend a long time building up an army to fight. If careful you can save recruits to fight again. If a recruit fights and lives shouldn't they become better for the next battle - i.e. perhaps be promoted / be more effective in following battles? This used to happen in the original Settlers games.

I should imagine those at higher levels experience similar problems with their armies!

Well at the moment after most of my battles my guy's are all but wiped out, but as the better weapons come on line then we can recruit better trained troops and so the battles will become a lot better.

I like your idea! There might be some inflation do; e.g. I've used the same archers for 15 battles and none of them died in any of them (sent enough recruits so this wouldn't happen). So they could pretty quickly become more powerful than the more expensive troops, which would be a problem I suppose.
