As near as I can tell, you have to get your geologist to search for another deposit and then build a new mine. They can't be revived but there are items you can buy that will restock mines before they run out.

You must destroy, and then send a geologist.

    Nope.

Collapsed mine does not need to be destroyed in order to find a new deposit. That is a fact. Upgrades however dont stay after mine runs out of resources and newly built mine needs to be upgraded again.

Why upgrade? Because its cheaper at higher levels, also there is a limited number of deposits on map, and in order to mass produce swords/ tools and whatever you will very soon have to upgrade the mines.

Spark, i thought the same, but few times, i dont know why, even 4 geologistic misions in row, didnt find my mines. I deleted old one, and they found with first attempt. Mostly it works like you said, however sometimes ...

i think you have to destroy the old mine... i'm pretty sure you won't find a deposit otherwise.

Im pretty sure I didnt destroy any mines or depleted stone deposits in months.

I wont bet though, that if there is a couple of them in your sectors, the depleted one that was not demolished wont be found last (since im using 6 geos and I really dont pay attention to what order they are found in).

If it does not work on this server, perhaps its a bug that you could report.

You dont have to remove depleted mines or stone deposits before you can find a new one at the same spot.
