You reduce the number of unemployed settler's by building more buildings, training more troops, or destroying housing. But there is nothing wrong with having some unemployed settler's.

What happens, when I accept a trade in the trade window, but the other player never accept my offer (leaves the "trade accepted" email unopened)? Because as I see, my goods is subtracted when I accept an offer. Will those goods "float in nowhere" forever?
