I have had several failed attempts at searching for a coal mine - am fed up having to wait two to three days to build up an army for each bandit camp - always running out of coal/coke.
Have sent out my two geologists to search for coal, but nothing happens. Same with gold!?!?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Not every sector has a gold/coal deposit, you cant find any until you conquer the sectors that do.

^ heres a map with the locations of all resource deposits.
top left sector has 3 coal mine locations and would solve your issues
Sector 7 (top left) has 3 coal mines each containing 2900 coal.
Sector 6 (middle right) has 3 coal mines each containing 3000.
