The explorer doesnt stop? it carries on searching for whatever you told it to.

Quite like the idea but not in the format suggested. I think giving an explorer & geologist a "next job" would be good at a cost of bread/sausage/beer. Cancelling the current item should cost an amount of time equal to the time they have already spent.

-1 - no because this goes towards automating the game which is just not in the spirit of settlers online. Plus what if you want that explorer to do something different?

+1. Idea is not to automate the game completely, just make it more tolerable. Well/field issue is more annoying than this though, you only need to send explorers out once a day or so. How about, that the explorer will search automaticly again the same thing as before (and take resources), but you'd need to login and accept the results of the findings within 24 hours, or they vanish?

I was just thinking actually - I'd rather they took a little less time to complete anything from 12 hours upwards. So 11h45m - 23h30m etc. Would mean you can log on the same time everyday and know they will be finishing or almost finishing the current task.

I don't think this should be automated. I do however like the idea of beeing able to cancel.
