    Is there any disadvantage, other than time, by sending one general, allowing him to recover, and then sending him again?
    Does the enemy camp ever regain hitpoints?

    The only reason to send 2 generals at 1 camp at the same time is because of time. There is no disadvantage to waiting those 4 hours.

    The only one in a bandit camp that heals is the boss,he heals straight away,anything else you kill remains dead

    Thats a little bit inaccurate. Every unit that is damaged but does not die during the fight is fully healed, but yes, its normally the bosses who have enough hp to make it noticeable.
