    Yes you can, Mangalyurek. But none of those blocks is safe enough to be recommended...
    Even if both your blocks give a high average number of rounds, none of them is really safe...
    Both have a fair chance of being lost after only 5 rounds, thus lasting a minimum of only 100 seconds:

    Even if the average number of rounds is lower, the block below (77E 65C) would overall be a lot safer.
    Find a way to march up to camp 19 and kill Wild Mary within 200 seconds (can be done) and you'd be completely safe:

    Thanks EXiNX, looking forward to giving this one a try, now the EotW stuff is out of the way.
    We love our new CM.

    Newfoundland: 20th November 2011 to 25th November 2014. RIP
    It was good while it lasted.

    In Save the Christmas Feast, hard version: troops don`t add up, you need more recruits and more elites then there and never use the bows.

    I've replied to that already once... seems like spoilers are hard to open...

    This optional way of round-blocking both camps 8 and 9 is reserved for those having a veteran general with crossbows and elite soldiers.
    The inspiration came from NightEye. Thanks mate! Open the spoiler for more information...
    Spoiler

    Move your veteran general and two normal generals to garrison position G3:
    • Position A: NORMAL general
    • Position C: NORMAL general
    • Position D: VETERAN general

    Send all three generals right after each other:

    From A to Camp 8) 40 Thugs, 30 Rangers, 50 Cavalry Deserters
    BLOCKING NORMAL general: [63E (-)] {160 - 300 seconds of fighting, 0.4% chance of 140 seconds}

    From C to Camp 9) 20 Scavengers, 60 Cultists, 40 Nomads
    BLOCKING NORMAL general: [193C (-)] {140 - 220 seconds of fighting}

    From D to Camp 10) 70 Lance Riders, 70 Karls, 1 Croaker
    VETERAN general: [71B 119LB 60XB (55B - 65B - 71B)] {40 seconds of fighting}
    VETERAN general: [170B 80XB (55B - 65B - 71B)] {40 seconds of fighting}
    VETERAN general: [105B 145XB (55B - 65B - 71B)] {40 seconds of fighting}

    The marching time for the veteran general, from the moment general A starts his fight on camp 8 is about 103 seconds (31 steps).
    Adding 10 seconds time for sending off generals C and D plus 40 seconds for killing Croaker, we need a block lasting at least 153 seconds.
    The block on camp 8 lasts 160 seconds or more 99.6% of the times. There is thus still a very small chance (8 times out of 2200) of a failure.
    Only three attacks needed in total. Below a summary of the average units needed and lost:

    Starting with: 49R 4S 63E 212C 105B 145XB

    First Attack onto camp 2)
    Needed units: 37R 1E 212C (31R)
    Still available: 18R 4S 63E 212C 105B 145XB

    Second Block/Attack onto camp 6)
    Needed units: 18R 4S 34E 86C 145XB (15R)
    Still available: 3R 4S 63E 212C 105B 145XB

    Third Block/Attack onto camp 10)
    Needed units: 63E 193C 105B 145XB (65B)
    Still available: 3R 4S 63E 212C 40B 145XB

    You're right mike, but note soldiers are a lot more expensive than recruits:

    100 Cultists, 99 Dark Priests, 1 Witch of the Swamp

    Tage's version:
    1: 180R 20C 2: 100R 2S 105C 43XB (242R 20C - 264R 20C - 280R 1S 20C)

    mike's version:
    10R 20M 80S 120C 20XB (10R 20M 55S - 10R 20M 65S -10R 20M 77S)

    If you really need to end the adventure fast, and you don't have more than one general available, feel free to use your version.
    Otherwise, use Tage's instead

    I'v played SFTR several times now and usualy i trust your guides, but i have never ever had the luck to get the G3 block right... General A always looses before the vet gets to the main camp..
    Am i the only one who has that problem??
    Well, i wont do this blok again cus it dosnt work for me.. And no, its not due to lack, cus i'v testet it 5-8 times now, with a loss of 138 CAV and 1E every single time, and i will not do it again..

    Well.. thanx for your brilliant guides Killste, but in this case, i'm not so happy about the result..

    It says 1E 136C in the guide, and it works fine then, never had a problem.

    That block only has a very small chance of losing the battle,
    and if it would, it would do it after fighting for more than 3 minutes.

    Since I'm sure you've manage to send out general B and your veteran when general A reached that spruce tree,
    I find it hard to believe that general A actually lost the battle before your veteran even reached his target.

    Unless, of course, you didn't have the right troops with general A to start with, e.g. fewer than 136 cavalry...
    But to think you've done that error 5-8 times doesn't sound belieavable either...

    Would it be possible for you to replay that lost attack on camp 6 (you'll find the battle report in your inbox)?
    Take a snapshot of that battle report (once it has stopped playing), and post it here, please.
    At that stage you can see all troops you had in the fight and how many rounds it lasted.

    I know people tend to delete their battle reports, but if you've had the same problem 5-8 times,
    I'm sure you must be wondering yourself what has gone wrong, and started to take a look at those reports, before deleting them.

    Thanks, but blame me, not Killste...
    Hope we can find out what has gone wrong...
