I picked Crrev, mainly because obviously its gona come down to Crrev and Saraptheold. I think I like someone else's better but there is no way they will win even with my vote, so I like to make my vote count. Its a tight race and my vote makes it a little tighter

Gotta go back to empire now, maybe when I figure out how to make a signature I'll participate in the next one :P

Ridiculous ... Why bother voting if you are not going to vote for the one you think is the best .. the whole point of this vote is to vote for what you think is the best not who you think might have a chance of winning.

This simply makes a mockery of the voting system here, congratulations on making your vote a lie while trying to make your vote count.

(Just my opinion, no offence ment, i just don't like tactical voting)

I have to agree with Samurai_Katana. If enough people think the way Call--Me--King does, the one that should have/could have won might end up third or fourth. Winning is important, but it is not everything. My favorites are (alphabetically): Garywilson4, OmkaraD, Orchid and Scrooge. Really good work there.

    Agreed with previous speakers there!
Naturally we are all in it to win! some clearly want to win bad enough to cheat
But it's really bad when people start to cheat the whole competition by altering the basis for casting a vote!

Vote for your favorite! as simple as it is seems to be quite the conundrum at times.

Perhaps the poll results should be kept hidden until the end to prevent tactical voting.

I didn't check before reading all the replies, but to me it would be nice if the poll results can only be seen after casting your vote. This way you are not influenced by standings as mentioned above. It has been observed in many voting systems that people want to have voted for the winner, even though they have a different favorite! I am not the computer expert, and can't say anything about the difficulty of adjusting the vote system, but it might be something to keep in mind for future polls.
