    Lightbulb whats your favorite settlers

Hi this is my 1st thread i was just wondering what your favorite settlers game is, i love the settlers 2 but it seems very unpopular these days with the newer higher quality games. I like it so much because of the complexity it isn't as easy as point and click you haft to actually think about what your doing unlike some settlers games.so whats your favorite.

A lot of new games concentrate on graphics and not on gameplay. Personally, I prefer the old games.

S3, the first true multiplayer settlers with awesome pvp

The PVE was a bit underwhelming but i never played that anyway except the campaign(s) once. These were actually pretty hard on the hard level and many players never finished em but on the maps, the AI was just abysmal

But i will always associate S3 with great pvp with some epic battles - especially on random maps although the set piece maps designed for specific tactics also has some epic battles fought on em with armies of 1000's of settlers lagging out the systems of all for like 10 minutes on engaging

I agree alot of games think that there going to do well just because they have good graphics, but if you think about minecraft thats done very well with pritty appauling graphics(compared to say battlefield 3 or mw3).

Settlers 1 for singleplayer that has and always will be my favourite and settlers 4 for online play. I loved the online battles and also the fact I could choose to play as green settlers helped a lot.

Settlers 4 was always my favorite. I wasn't sure I'd like not having the set paths the settlers had to follow, but just loved that version. Lots and lots of maps available by users. I wasted many hours with 4.
